A roadmap for the "future of Palworld" has been revealed and promises that PvP, raid bosses, new Pals, and a Pal Arena are all going to come to the game soon.

As I'm sure most of you are aware of by now, the past week has been a runaway success for Palworld, which seems to be adding at least half a million players every single day at this point and shows no sign of slowing down. Although there's currently no shortage of things to see, collect, and kill in Palworld, it looks looks like there's a whole lot more still to come.

Over on Twitter, the official Palworld account thanked the community and noted that sales have "far exceeded the development team's expectations", to the point that they are still experiencing server issues due to how many people are trying to play. While Pocket Pair is focusing on fixing those issues before adding any new content to the game, it does have a roadmap in mind for what the future of Palworld looks like.

Beyond fixing a number of bugs and improving the base AI and pathing for Pals, the roadmap reveals a bunch of new content that is planned for the game, including PvP, Raid Bosses for end-game content, and a Pal Arena that acts as PvP specifically for Pals without any trainers involved.

Think Pokemon Coliseum, because I'm sure that's what Pocket Pair did.

That's not all, though, as the roadmap also promises to add crossplay between Steam and Xbox (no word on if the game is coming to PS5 yet, but it's apparently being worked on) and vague "Xbox feature improvements". There will also be server transfers and migrations added, as well as improvements to the game's building system.

Finally, as you'd expect, we'll also be seeing new islands, Pals, bosses, and technologies added to Palworld while it's still in early access. Although the roadmap does indicate that a lot is being worked on for the future of Palworld right now, it unfortunately doesn't give any indication as to when we'll see the new content drop. It seems that the priority right now is improving the experience and removing bugs, so it might be a while before we start seeing things like PvP and Pal Arena added to the game.
