If you have ever been caught in the crossfire between two Depressos in Palworld, then the odds are you're already familiar with being poisoned. You might even be wondering how you can use the poison status effect to your benefit in fights later on. The key to using the power of poison for your gain is Pal Venom Glands.

Venom Glands are exactly what they sound like; special glands dropped by Pals that contain the key to Pal Poison. By collecting Venom Glands, you can build yourself a few nifty tools to take on the many enemies and fiends in Palworld's vast wilds.

How To Get Venom Glands

There are a few ways you can get Venom Glands in Palworld, but the method you choose is dependent upon the quantity you need and how quickly you need it.

Currently, in this initial stage of Palworld's Early Access, it looks like you cannot farm Venom Glands from the Ranch like you can for Flame Organ or money.

Luckily, you have a few options to choose from when running around and hoping for the best just doesn't cut it.

Catch And Kill Dark Element Pals

You can collect Venom Glands from successfully capturing or killing Dark Element Pals.

Some Pals, like Depresso and Daedream spawn in larger numbers, while others, like Cawgnito, tend to be solitary. Your best bet is to go to locations where you know dense populations of Dark Element Type herd Pals will spawn.

Pals that drop Venom Glands drop them because they are capable of poisoning the player and other Pals with their abilities. Be careful when fighting these Pals, as you may end up poisoned. Try to keep a healer Pal with you.

If you want to increase your Dark Element slaying capabilities, bring along Dragon Element Pals on your adventure. Dragon Element Pals are the most effective against Dark Element Pals and Neutral Element Pals have a disadvantage, so keep this in mind when assembling your hunting party.

Most Dark Element Pals only spawn at night, so you will need to wait until it is nighttime to go hunting for Venom Glands.

Here's the current list of Pals we know drop Venom glands. We'll update this list for you as we learn more about Dark Element Pals and as new patches are added to the game.

Pals That Drop Venom Glands

Depresso

Daedream

Menasting

Cawgnito

Helzephyr

The best early-game Dark Element Pals to farm for Venom Glands are Depresso and Daedream. Daedream's glowing rainbow mane makes it particularly easy to detect when hunting.

Buy Venom Glands From Merchants

If you have Gold to spare, you can buy Venom Glands from stationary, and occasionally Wandering, Merchants. The Merchant in the Small Village, for example, sells Venom Glands for 100 Gold coins – the same price as Flame Organs.

We only recommend buying Venom Glands from merchants when you desperately need to, otherwise, you'll be dumping valuable Gold coins that you could use to buy Pals or Medical Supplies.

If you have the time to hunt Dark Element Pals, catching and killing Pals is a more efficient method.

Save your Gold Coins for purchasing special Pals from Pal Merchants and the Black Marketeer. You can also start a Gold farm by assigning Mau to your base's Ranch task.

Find Venom Glands In The Environment

Occasionally, you'll find random loot bags lying around, and you may find Venom Glands in chests or dropped as random loot on the ground. We're not quite sure what the drop or spawn rate is for Venom Glands, but it's worth it to keep an eye out for any unusual loot on the ground.

You can also wait for Syndicate enemies or other aggressive Pals to kill Dark Element Pals for you, and swoop in when the deed is done. You may still need to deal with the Syndicate Thugs and those aggressive Pals, but at least you won't have to waste arrows on your quarry.

Chests are another way you will occasionally find Venom Glands. You can double back to places where you know chests will respawn and try to loot them again for more glands, organs, and other resources.

What Are Venom Glands For?
