There are more than 100 Pals in Palworld, and they vary in multiple ways, such as their types, abilities, partner skills, work suitabilities, and more. However, it's important to note that even two Pals with the same name can have differences. This is because each Pal possesses hidden statistics called Individual Values, which are unique to them.

These values range from 0 to 100 and are difficult to discern without proper tools. You can either explore the game's mechanics to uncover these values or craft Ability Glasses to visualize them without any hassle.

How To Get The Ability Glasses

If you want to obtain the Ability Glass, the first thing you need to do is reach level 34; once you reach this level, you'll be able to unlock the blueprint for this item from the purple section on the right side of the Technology Tree. However, to unlock it, you'll need a total of four Ancient Technology Points.

To obtain Ancient Technology Points, you need to defeat Alpha Pals on the game map for the first time. Alternatively, defeating Tower Bosses, known as Pal Tamers, for the first time will also grant you these points.

After unlocking its blueprint, you'll need to have certain materials:

How To Obtain Resources For The Ability Glasses

Earn 30 Refined Ingot

To produce Refined Ingot, you first need to have the Improved Furnace or better version unlocked. You'll need to be at level 34 to unlock it. For 30 Refined Ingots, you'll need 60 Ore and 60 Coal.

The fastest way to farm Ore at your base is by building an Ore Mining Site or, for better efficiency, an Ore Mining Site II.

If you prefer gathering Ore from nature, there's a significant Ore mine located at coordinates -257, -211.

For Coal, you can head to the desert biome, Twilight Dunes, located northeast of the aforementioned coordinates. There's a plentiful Coal mine at coordinates -158, -93.

Earn 20 Paldium Fragments

To obtain Paldium Fragments, you can mine the Paldium Ore, which you may encounter in dungeons and certain coastal areas. Sometimes, you may also stumble upon individual Paldium Fragments while exploring.

If you've accumulated enough Stone in your base, build a Crusher; with it, you can obtain 20 Paldium Fragments by spending a total of 100 Stones. To operate it, you need a Pal in your base with Watering Work Suitability.

Earn 10 Ancient Civilization Parts

To acquire Ancient Civilization Parts you need to obtain them from the Alpha Pals you encounter while exploring the map. Alternatively, you can obtain them by exploring the dungeons on the game's vast map and defeating the bosses found there.

For more Ancient Civilization Parts, capture dungeon bosses or Alpha Pals first. Then, use the Meat Cleaver to butcher them. This will increase your chances and drop the rate of obtaining Ancient Civilization Parts even further.

Earn Five Ancient Civilization Core

There is no way to find or craft this item in the wild; all you need to do is obtain it as a drop from one of the Raid Bosses, either Bellanoir or Bellanoir Libero. The good news is that it drops from Bellanoir with a 100 percent chance, but the downside is that you'll need to defeat Bellanoir five times to obtain five Ancient Civilization Cores.

Keep in mind that summoning and battling Bellanoir won't be easy unless your build is late-game oriented, and it requires good preparation.

How To Use The Ability Glasses

Each Pal has hidden stats called Individual Values, abbreviated as IVs. These stats range from 0 to 100 and apply to Attack, Defense, and Maximum HP values, so if a Pal has a high IV value for a stat, it means it has the potential to be stronger in that particular stat.

Previously, to understand these values, it was necessary to capture Pals and use IV calculators found online to perform calculations. However, with the later addition of Ability Glasses to Palworld, the need for these calculators was eliminated.

With Ability Glasses, you can see the IVs of the Pals that are next to you, which helps you determine whether a Pal is worth capturing or not. Values of 70 and above are displayed in green, indicating that the Ability Glasses consider them to be good.

Furthermore, there is a chance to transfer IVs through breeding from the parents to the Pal hatching from the egg. By capturing Pals with high IVs using Ability Glasses, you can breed them to produce Pals with good IV values and corresponding good stats, and you can then decide whether it's worth training the Pal hatching from the egg by checking if it also has good IV stats.

Additionally, Alpha Pals and Lucky Pals are more likely to have good IV values.
