These items often bring with them a quest to do, and they'll give you some new lore about the world or the characters. Sometimes, though, they just raise questions.

One of these question-raising items is the Small Handheld Device, which just so happens to resemble a smartphone or even a small tablet. Likely a relic from the age of Humans, this mysterious item is still unknown. In this guide, we'll give you some details about how to find it and what it might be used for in the future.
How To Find The Small Handheld Device
Unlike some other Discovery Quest items, such as the Floating Relic, the Small Handheld Device's location is random.
Several players have reported finding it at Whispering Banks in the dirt under the bridge, others have reported finding it near the Phoenix Shrine at Phoenix Falls, and some have also found it in front of the entrance toMirror Pond Ruins.
It seems to mostly spawn at named ruin sites or areas close to ruin sitesin Kilima Valley.
What Is The Small Handheld Device Used For?
Currently, the Small Handheld Device has no use. Acquiring it does not give you a quest pop-up, and you cannot use the item in your inventory to start a quest.
It also cannot be turned in to or brought up in dialogue with characters knowledgeable about Humans and their relics, such as Jina, Hekla, Einar, or Zeki.
Many players have speculated and tried to search out potential uses for the Small Handheld device, such as interacting with various locked doors within ruins in both Kilima and Bahari while holding it in their inventory, but it has not worked thus far.
The community theorizes that a corresponding quest may be added for the Small Handheld Device in a future patch or that it may relate to a larger, upcoming story element.
