If you guessed the next Like A Dragon game was going to be about Goro Majima battling pirates then congratulations, you somehow predicted an unpredictable future. I say unpredictable, considering the wackiness that comes part and parcel with the Yakuza series, not to mention Majima sporting an eyepatch, maybe we should have seen this coming.

RGG Studio confirmed the next game in the series will be Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii and that it will be here on February 28, 2025. That's 13 months after the launch of the massive Infinite Wealth. Yeah, I don't know how they keep doing it either. There are three editions of Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii to choose from and pre-order bonuses have been announced, so time to decide which one you want and what platform you will use to embark on your high-seas Yakuza adventure.

Yakuza Pirates In Hawaii has a standard, deluxe, and collector's edition, and while you'll miss out on some of the added extras if you only go for the $60 standard edition, you'll still get the pre-order bonus if you commit to the game before release day. Even though Like A Dragon games release at an alarmingly fast rate, there are still plenty of you out there willing to spend extra on their more expensive editions every time we get one. If that's you, there's a deluxe edition option for $15 more, available across all three platforms. For that extra cash you'll get a legendary outfit, additional ship customization options, and a karaoke pack. Yes, despite being on the water, there will still be karaoke in this game. It really wouldn't be a Yakuza game without it.

Even though Yakuza Pirates In Hawaii is a spinoff, it will still be getting a collector's edition, and it's a big one. This is the one that gets you all of the physical stuff along with a copy of the game and all of the in-game extras that come with the deluxe edition, not to mention the pre-order bonus included with both cheaper editions. Opt for the collector's edition and you'll get a real-life version of Majima's eyepatch and a voucher for all of the deluxe edition additional content that's listed above.

RGG quickly confirmed that its next Yakuza game will be getting a physical release, and pre-orders for it and the collector's edition are now live through the Amazon and GameStop links in the boxes above. Clearly it heard fans who were unhappy that Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name didn't get a physical release and hasn't repeated the same mistake.

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC On February 28, 2025. That's right, it's coming to last-gen platforms too.
