If you've played a Like A Dragon game before, you'll be overjoyed to see the plethora of off-the-wall substories in Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii. Majima's amnesia-fueled adventure sees him return to Hawaii – the setting of Infinite Wealth – as a pirate with his brand-new (albeit dilapidated) ship and a crew to match.

When you're not searching for new crew members or trying to raise funds to repair Majima's ship, you can take in the sights and help the people of Honolulu, like in the substory, Man Of Bronze. While this bizarre side quest might seem inconsequential, there's a worthwhile reward waiting for you at the end once you've assisted the Man Of Bronze with his performance.

How To Start 'Man Of Bronze'

Close

Watch the Firebreather, Clyde, at the Worldwide Market Village, by approaching the crowd of happy onlookers.

One of the crowd members mentions a Bronze Statue Man who stands motionless as a street performer, but they don't understand the purpose of such a boring performance.

How To Help The Man Of Bronze

Close

Seek out the Man of Bronze southeast of the Worldwide Market Village on the corner of Resort Blvd and Aloha St.

Choose to tip the bronze statue one dollar or $100 and wait for a crowd of kids to appear and start to kick at the statue's knees while he remains still and absorbs the beating.

From here, head southwest to the Honu World Market restaurant to continue this substory. Approach the bathroom entrance where you'll see the Bronze Man tending to his wounds from earlier.

The Bronze Statue Man will thank you for the tip (assuming you gave him one) and tell you that others followed your lead.

If you do not tip him, a single tear will roll down his face, and you will not receive any gift from him in the bathroom scene.

He'll give you an Iced Tea healing item to thank you for your help.

After the bathroom scene, the man will introduce himself as Bronson (out of costume this time) and tell you the Fire-Breather, Clyde, used to be a statue too.

Defending And Supporting Bronson

Close

Once Bronson tells you his story, return to the corner of Resort Blvd and Aloha St. to watch him perform again.

When Clyde arrives, a group of men begin antagonizing Bronson with more physical violence, adding fuel to the fire (or, more accurately, fire to the fuel).

  1. Fight Clyde and the Thugs. Bronson will thank you for intervening once you clear them out.
  2. After some time passes (you might need to complete the next main story mission if you're still in the midst of the early parts), make your way to the park on the corner of Waikiki St and Makani Ave.
  3. Approach the large crowd watching Clyde juggle for a final cutscene.

What Rewards Do You Get From 'Man Of Bronze'?

Close

After Clyde owns up to his mistakes and pours his heart out to Bronson, you'll receive some Hors d'Oeuvres, which will boost a crew member's morale and give them experience. Bronson will also join your pirate crew and the substory will be completed.

It pays to help the folks of Honolulu, as several crew members will only join your pirate posse once you've completed their substory.
