Naval combat makes things even more interesting with bosses like Mortimer and Amon. While there aren't as many bosses compared to other Yakuza games, they will still offer you a great challenge. Defeating these hard enemies will require you to use all your resources and max out your stats.

Spoilers for boss fights ahead!

7 Jack The Collector

Jack The Collector is the first major boss you will face in the game. He isn't as hard as the adversaries you will encounter at your journey's end. However, he can catch you off-guard if you aren't prepared for the fight. As you were busy fighting weaker opponents before him, you are more likely to not expect a stronger foe at that point.

This battle will feel even harder, especially if you are a newcomer to the series. Jack The Collector wields a gun, and he will fire long-range shots which you need to avoid quickly when you are marked. You will need to carefully approach him and attack when you see a wide opening.

A stronger Jack The Collector appears later in the series, and you fight him alongside Keith.

6 Taiga Saejima

Saejima is Majima's sworn brother and what better way is there for them to regale their brotherhood through a good spar. He is as tough as always and his hits pack a punch, depleting a significant amount of your HP.

Proving Majima's conviction to Sajima is definitely not easy, as he is thick-skinned, quite literally. He doesn't wield a weapon, so his attacks don't have a longer range, which you can use to your advantage. To defeat him, you will need to carefully observe his punches and side-step quickly.

5 Security Robot

You face this sturdy robot when you storm into Spade Tucker's secret base. He is a cautious man, and so he has placed this tough android for his security. Due to its metallic body, it has a high defense, and you won't be damaging it much with usual means.

To defeat it, you need to hit it at its weak point, which is located at its back. You will need to wait until it sits down after an attack to damage the area. This will make the boss go down. You will need to repeat these steps a few times to defeat it, which may be harder if your timing is off.

4 Mortimer

Mortimer doesn't fail to show his intimidating aura when you visit Madlantis. He puts a bounty on the Goro pirates and, since then, the showdown with Mortimer has been highly anticipated. You will face him inside the Pirate Coliseum.

You first need to take down Mortimer's huge ship in naval combat. He will fire grenades at Goromaru, so you will need to actively repair it while also focusing on avoiding its cannon attack. After that, you will engage his crew in the deck battle. Mortimer is also well-versed in using the sword, and you will need to carefully parry his attacks in a sword clash.

3 Raymond Law

Raymond is the Pirate King of Madlantis and is the final boss of the game. He ruthlessly snatched the throne of this pirate realm from the Queen and is shown to be greedy as he usurped the treasure from the Goro Pirates.

As he betrayed Majima's trust and hurt Jason's daughter, he had to be paid back in full. However, it's not as easy as he has a bulky large body and a huge health bar. He attacks you with a large polearm, making him less approachable. Unless you keep a good stack of Staminan bottles in your inventory, you will have a hard time standing up against him.

2 Giant Squid

Like a Dragon sometimes throws the most bizarre challenges your way, and defeating the Giant Squid is one of them. Majima has a bone to pick with it as it was responsible for his lost memory. No one believes in its existence, but it's responsible for the demise of many ships.

You will engage the Giant Squid in Naval combat, which is harder to get used to, unless you have been practicing at the Coliseum. If you hit its body, it won't receive much damage unless you take care of two of its tentacles. It will also attack your ship with those, so you will also need to keep your distance.

After you attack its recovering body, it will restore those tentacles, and you will need to repeat the drill to beat it.

1 Amon

The Amon fights in any Like A Dragon game are the hardest. It's an optional boss, but if you are looking to clear the game completely, you can definitely not ignore Taiyo Amon and his crew of the toughest pirates around.

If you want to stand a chance against him at the Coliseum, you will need to max out Goromaru and your Crew stats. After you take down their ship, you will need to defeat 50 men, and then have a showdown with Amon.
