Even without all the substories and minigames, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth would still be between 40 and 50 hours long. It's easy to pull yourself away from the main story and engage with one of the numerous minigames.

If you're looking for the best of the best, we are here to help you find the most entertaining minigames to play while going through Ichiban Kasuga's second adventure. Even though the stakes can get dire in the Like a Dragon series, the characters always find the time to have a little fun and take a load off with some of these side activities.

10 The Vocational School

A Challenging Trivia Minigame

The vocational school is more interesting and odd than fun, at least from a game mechanics perspective. Each test is a true quiz of your knowledge that, when passed, will increase one of your personality traits. It's the most helpful for unlocking new jobs at the Aloha Resort.

The only other series that comes to mind when it comes to tried-and-true trivia as a side quest is Mega Man Legends 2, which similarly had a quiz that asked questions about the real world. You can't pause during a question, but you can purchase hyper-focus, which slows down the clock during a question.

9 Batting Cages

Play Some Baseball

You can't play baseball with a team in Infinite Wealth, but you can take out some of your rage at the batting cages. You have to do at least one round of it during the story in Chapter 8, but you are free to indulge in it to your heart's content. The mechanics are a combination of precision and timing.

You have to move your reticle to where the game shows the ball will go and then swing at the right time. Sometimes, the area will move while the ball is in flight, forcing you to adjust your aim while the ball is already coming at you.

8 Golf

Not A Traditional Golf Course, But A Range

Similar to Baseball, you won't be testing your skills out on an 18-hole golf course. Instead, you perfect your swing on a driving range. You pick where you want the ball to go and adjust the power and precision by timing the button presses correctly as the meter fills up. It's simple but fun.

Certain challenges require you to hit the ball to a specific spot. Hot Shot's Golf is absent from the PS5, so this is the closest Sony fans can get to a good golf game on their console for the foreseeable future.

7 Miss Match

Makes Online Dating Look Too Easy

Miss Match is not so much on here because of its mechanics but more for its bonkers premise and humor. You are testing a dating app and making a profile to find matches. The options you put in your profile determine how well you match with certain users. Once a match is found, you engage in a conversation with them.

Make the right choices based on their profile and text fast enough by pressing the button combinations to earn yourself a date. The dates are live-action sequences in which the date professes their affection for Ichiban. It would be problematic if it weren't so over-the-top. Of course, sometimes you can get catfished, and it turns out a chicken was texting you all along.

Online dating is much harder than the Miss Match minigame makes it out to be.

6 Sicko Snap

A Weirder Version Of Pokemon Snap

If the name doesn't cue you in on this minigame's inspiration, then the actual game certainly will. In Sicko Snap, you ride on a trolley and snap pitchers of muscular men acting inappropriately in public. In Like a Dragon, inappropriate just means making funny poses.

Each successful picture nets you points. Some of the titular sickos are hiding, or they only momentarily pop up before retreating. Though this sounds a lot like Pokemon Snap, you won't be throwing objects at the men to get them to come out of hiding.

5 Can Quest

Collect Cans While Avoiding Competitors And Garbage Trucks

Can Quest returns from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the seventh main entry in the series. This time, you control Kiryu. Ride around the map and collect as many cans as possible. Competitors will try to knock you over and steal your cans, while garbage trucks can similarly ruin your day.

Collecting cans is not enough, though. You still have to make it to the starting area to finish the minigame. It's a joy to play, but even when you unlock it in chapter eight, there aren't a lot of useful items to purchase with the points, and the money you earn is minuscule compared to what you earn from regular battles.

4 Karaoke

A Rhythm Game

Karaoke has been a staple of the series since Yakuza 3. Kiryu Kazuma is an ardent fan of the hobby, though many party members take the mic depending on the song you choose. The mechanics are a simple rhythm game where you press the buttons in time to the music.

Each song has a special video, though it might be hard to simultaneously play and look at the animations. Being at bars like Revolve and Survive, it always feels right to sing a song or two whenever the story takes you here.

3 Crazy Delivery

Be The Postmates You Want To See In The World

Introduced early in the game, Crazy Delivery is Like a Dragon's take on Crazy Taxi. You are on a bike collecting food to distribute to customers standing on the street. You also have to jump and do tricks to increase how much money you receive with each delivery.

The trick to earning an S rank is becoming familiar with the map layout to string together lines of deliveries and a smart use of boost. There are only four difficulty modes that all take place on the same map, so it doesn't take long to get an S rank on all stages once you get the hang of the game.

2 Sujimon

Gotta Best 'Em All

Leave it to Like a Dragon to include a whole other RPG inside an already expansive RPG. Sujimon is the game's version of Pokemon, though there are significant differences. For one, you fight in teams of three. Secondly, the Sujimon look like real people.

It's easy to get wrapped up in collecting as many Sujimon as possible once the minigame is unlocked, or you can casually go through it as you progress through the game. You can't miss Sujimon since it is introduced to you in the story.

1 Dondoko Island

Animal Crossing: Like A Dragon

Dondoko Island is the perfect minigame for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth since it is both relaxing and flexes some creative muscles. It also helps that it introduces gameplay mechanics not found in the real game, such as real-time combat (though it is basic).

You spend your days collecting resources and completing daily activities until you bring the island to a high enough standard to earn it a new star. The loop is compelling, and your reward is being able to make the items you like and set them down where you want on the island.
