How To Catch Bugs

Once you've been given your bug catching net, you simply need to creep up on a bug and press the button to catch it. Many bugs have the same appearance on the island, but once you catch them, they can result in variations or different rarities.

Rarer bugs move more quickly and are more likely to run/fly away as you approach.

Insect Locations

Starter Area/Great Tree/Entrance

Available as soon as you unlock Dondoko Island.

Dondoko Beach

The southern beach, available as soon as you unlock Dondoko Island.

Gachapin Beach

The eastern beach, available as soon as you unlock Dondoko Island.

Mukku Beach

The western beach, available as soon as you unlock Dondoko Island.

Dondoko Farm

Available after you reach a two-star island.

The Hills

Available after you reach a one-star island.

The Lighthouse

Available after you reach a one-star island.

The Lake

Available after you reach a two-star island.

The Fields

Available after you reach a two-star island.

The Cave

Available after you reach a three-star island. There is a tunnel that joins the Cave and the Forest, this opens once you have cleared both areas.

The Forest

Available after you reach a three-star island. You can also descend a ladder at the back of the area and find dragonflies there.
