PostsTo unlock the merchant, you'll need to make space for them first. Then, you'll need money to buy things with. Thankfully, we've spent plenty of time farming the economy for items you can make a profit with. Here's everything you need to know about the merchant and her wares in Lightyear Frontier.
How To Unlock The Merchant
To unlock the merchant, you'll need to develop your Homestead a bit more. After a few days on the planet, you'll receive a transmission from Lola. She adds your planet to her route, but you'll need to build the Merchant Dock before she can land and trade with you.
The Merchant Landing can be found in your Constructs menu under the Essentials tab. You'll need the following materials to craft it: ten Aluminum Rods, eight Red Crystals, and ten Stones.
You can place the Merchant Dock anywhere you like, though it's best to put it near your Homestead for easy access.
The Merchant's Schedule
Every morning, Lola will arrive at the Merchant Dock shortly after the day starts. You can make your way to her to see what items she's brought, as her inventory changes regularly.
However, she leaves around noon every day. Make sure to wrap up any business before then, or you'll have to wait until the next day. Lola has a lot of stops to make, so she can't wait for you every day.
If you're in the shop menu when it's time for her to leave, Lola will close out the menu and take off. She's firm on her shop hours, so plan accordingly!
How To Get Money
To get money, you'll need to sell the goods you have. This includes crops, materials, and treasures that you find. It's important to check the Economics tab often, as prices fluctuate regularly.
If prices are down one day, hold onto your items until the prices are up again to make the most money!
Selling items is the only way to get money, which can be used to purchase items from Lola's shop. Excess crops can be sold for a small amount, but items like Clams and other unique items will sell for much more.
