Boss Fight Achievements/Trophies In Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess

Each boss you fight will be increasingly more difficult than the previous one, and you will need to utilize all the skills and attacks you've learned and obtained since defeating the previous bosses.

As you beat each boss, you'll unlock the achievement/trophy for that boss and will be able to progress with the story until you've given them all a sound thrashing.

Most of the boss fight achievements/trophies are unmissable and part of the story except for the last two: The End and Rags to Riches. These two can be completed after you've re-played the entire game in New Game+.

Achievement/Trophy

Description

How To Unlock

Defeat Gakinyudo

Defeat Gakinyudo.

Gakinyudo appears as the first boss you have to fight after purifying the Myoko Pass, and will probably be the easiest of all of them to defeat.

Defeat Kamaitachi

Defeat Kamaitachi.

Appears after purging Kakeashi Grove. This is the boss you will face after purifying the Kakaeshi Grove. You now have the use of both Woodcutters and Archers. Keep your villagers defending the Maiden and keep slashing at the boss.

Defeat Mukadejoro

Defeat Mukadejoro.

This one appears after purging Yuan Cavern and makes the first two bosses feel like practice rounds. This is when you'll learn that Soh doesn't completely die, but will exist in spirit form for a short time when his health has been depleted. When he comes back, however, he'll be at half health.

Defeat Tsurube-otoshi

Defeat Tsurube-otoshi.

Beware of the slam attack that this one has. The good thing is, you can usually see it coming, so be sure to have your woodcutters placed to protect Yoshiro.

Defeat Batsu

Defeat Batsu.

Defeating Batsu is a turning point in the game, as it will give Soh all of his power back and now, you can apply different attacks and upgrades to him.

Defeat Bupposo

Defeat Bupposo.

This fearsome boss appears after purging the Muenzuka Burial Grounds, and this time, you're on your own, as you won't have any villagers with you.

Defeat Notsugo

Defeat Notsugo.

You get your villagers back for this boss, but its arena-wide attacks makes it a difficult boss to defeat.

Defeat Raikobo

Defeat Raikobo.

Once you've purged the defilement in Kiritake Village, you'll then be pitted against this lightning-fueled boss. You won't be able to rely on just Woodcutters this time, you'll need a well-rounded assortment of roles in order to defeat this guy. That said, use as many of your ranged combat roles as possible, including Archers, Marksmen, and Canoneers.

Defeat Yatsukahagi

Defeat Yatsukahagi.

The penultimate boss is also easily the hardest of all the bosses you've faced thus far, and possibly even the final boss. Go in well-equipped with damage boosting Mazo Talismans and Tsuba Guards, and have a good blend of Woodcutters and Spearmen dispatched.

Becoming the Spirit Stone Maiden

Defeat Nanamagari.

This is the final boss you'll defeat to complete the story, and it's located at the summit of Mt. Kafuku. This is the only boss you won't be able to replay once defeated, so we recommend creating a separate manual save file before the fight if you wish to do it again.

The End

Defeat Cursed Soh.

You will face Cursed Soh after completing the New Game+, which entails playing through the entire game again from the beginning. Cursed Soh is considered the true final boss of the game, even though you never face him in the first playthrough. This is missable if you decide not to play New Game+.

Rags to Riches

Defeat Kagokaburi.

Kagokaburi is a difficult boss to find, and it's completely possible that you'll never face it until after you've beaten the game at least once. But if you're able to find it and beat it, you'll get the achievement/trophy to prove that you were victorious.

Other Missable Achievements/Trophies In Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess

The rest of the achievements/trophies can be missed due to either needing to replay the game through New Game+, or not being a part of the story progression.

Description

How To Unlock

Repeating History

Begin New Game+.

Once you've beaten the game for the first time, you'll be able to start a New Game+

A Gathering of Masters

Fully upgrade all roles.

Fully upgrade every single role in the game. The best way to do this is to complete all the challenges in each stage, including the boss stages, and fully upgrade each stage to earn Musubi. Then visit Yoshiri in her tent to spend Musubi on upgrades whenever you have the chance.

The True Soh

Fully upgrade Soh's abilities.

After defeating the Batsu, you will gain the ability to spend Musubi on upgrades for Soh, just like the other roles. Unlocking this achievement/trophy is dependent on how much Musubi you earn by completing stages and challenges.

When You Wish Upon an Ema

Obtain all Ema Plaques.

There are a total of 60 Ema Plaques to find in the game. While most of them you'll get just for playing the story, others are obtained through repairs at the various stages. As long as you complete all of the repairs, you should be able to collect them all.

Mountain Goddess Folklore

Obtain all Emaki Scrolls and view them from the tent.

There are 18 Emaki Scrolls in the game. Just like the Ema Plaques, these are either found naturally during story progression, or as rewards for completing repairs. Collect all 18 and then view them in Yoshiro's tent.

A Blessing and a Curse

Complete a stage with 5 Mazo Talismans equipped.

Equip at least five Mazo Talismans and complete a stage with them equipped.

Multitasker

Complete a stage with 3 Tsuba Guards equipped.

Equip at least three Tsuba Guards and complete a stage with them equipped.

Sweet Shop

Obtain all sweets.

Another reward for completing repairs at the various stages, there are a total of 12 sweets to collect for Yoshiro.

Employment Agency

Assign every role to the villagers.

Assign every single role to villagers at least one time to unlock this one.

Family Dis-Function

Defeat 100 Seethe by using other Seethe attacks against them.

Many Seethe use attacks that create a wide area of damage. Use that to your advantage while luring them to other Seethe and activating the attack. Just remember to stay out of their way.

Mountain Watch

Complete all objectives in every stage, including those in New Game+.

Complete every optional objective in every stage, including those that are added during New Game+. This will help you earn more Musubi for role and Soh upgrades.

Wisdom and Courage

Finish all boss fights up to the Great Shrine Passage within a total of 20 minutes in one playthrough.

You can replay each boss to try to get a better time. Defeat all bosses (up to the Great Shrine Passage) within 20 minutes in one playthrough to complete this challenge.

Bit by Bit

Consume a total of 100,000 crystals.

You consume crystals by assigning roles to villagers and carving the spirit paths. This should be easily achievable, especially if you use some of the more expensive roles (like Sumo Wrestler, which costs 300 crystals).

Return to Nature

Purge 200 wild animals of the defilement.

Every time you play or replay a stage, there are wild animals in need of defilement. You can do this by hitting them with your sword, but it becomes easier when you unlock Soh's archery ability. Additionally, there is a Mazo Talisman you can equip that keeps the defiled creatures from noticing you so they don't run away.

Compassion for Living Things

Interact with animals in the bases 20 times.

Whenever you're in one of the bases, you can interact with any of the animals around the base. This isn't a part of the story so it can be missed if you don't interact with the animals enough.

Kunitsu-Gami

Unlock all achievements.

Unlock all of the previous achievements/trophies and you'll get this final one.
