  • How To Expose The Archon's Weak Point

Exploring the Sky Islands of Oremen gives you a break from fighting Nightblades in Immortals Of Aveum. The trade-off, of course, is that instead you'll be fighting big, tough constructs called Chroniclers! If that weren't enough, once you fight your way to the Library of Akoth you'll be faced with its guardian, the towering Archon.

The Archon can zap away your health in seconds if you're not careful, and until you find his weakness he seems impervious to most damage. Read on to find out how to bring him down... and be warned, this may not be the only time you face the big guy.

Archon Boss Fight Details

The Archon appears when you clear the liquid metal from the hall at the end of the first chamber in the Library of Akoth. A Health Crystal and Mana Crystal both spawn next to him, so grab them while he's getting ready if you need to top up!

The Archon moves slowly, but has a wide reach; you'll need to jump and cast Blink to avoid most of his melee attacks. Being made entirely of metal, the boss is also resistant to most damage. A rapid-fire attack like Maelstrom can occasionally stagger him, so shoot him repeatedly despite his defense to keep the pressure off of Jak.

How To Expose The Archon's Weak Point

The Archon's only weak spot is the crystal on his forehead, but it's only revealed when he's firing his laser. This attack tracks your movements, so it will be hard to fire back while avoiding damage. Your Shield can absorb some of the damage initially, but it won't last for the entire attack.

Keep your Disrupt Totem equipped in your left hand throughout the fight; when the Archon starts casting his laser spell, cast Disrupt to interrupt him. If you're successful, the Archon will be temporarily stunned with his crystal exposed; fire away to deal as much damage as you can before he recovers.

The Archon doesn't change up his tactics during the fight; keep Disrupting his spells and blasting his crystal until he's defeated. You'll receive a Health upgrade for your efforts, not to mention a clear path to the Archives.
