It Only Took Two Days For Someone To Make Hollow Knight: Silksong Easier

Well, that was fast. Not that Hollow Knight: Silksong wasn't already receiving mods not even 24 hours after its launch, because it was, but we can clock its first difficulty mod in at about the same speed.
The mod is aimed at tweaking Silksong in one specific fashion: by removing double damage. The rest of the game is maintained as Team Cherry intended it to be; but the double-damage deal was becoming something of a dilemma for plenty of players, and if you're not a fan of the mechanic and you happen to be playing the game on PC, you can now do something about it.
Double Damage Be Darned
'No Double Damage', is available via Nexus Mods. (We might not have heard about it without aid from Dexerto, by the way.) Its creator, Baiker, describes it as follows:
"This mod modifies taken damage from enemies to be one mask. Hazards may still do two hit damage."
Otherwise, the mod's goal is to prevent "enemies and normal bosses" from ever dealing more than one mask's worth of damage. Which should come as an especially appealing prospect to a great many players when there's already a Reddit post with 5.4k upvotes and climbing that expresses frustration over the mechanic.
As you can see, this is the Redditor's sole complaint about Hollow Knight: Silksong. They, like many, are otherwise enamored with Team Cherry's long, long, long-awaited follow-up. Hopefully, these thousands of upvoters are keenly aware that the 'No Double Damage' mod is out and about for the enormous population of PC-playing Hornets.
