The snorkel in Hello Kitty Island Adventure is used to dive and eventually meet Hangyodon. Here, you can learn how to get one.
PostsIn this guide, we are going to take a look at how to dye clothes. This will not unlock at the start of the game; instead, there are a few lengthy quests that you'll need to complete first. Fortunately, we'll take a look at these prerequisites that you need to complete first.
Prerequisites To Dye Clothes
CloseSo, you're looking to dye some clothes? This will become available through the quest Tuxedosam's Dye Upgrade, which is given by Tuxedosam once you reach friendship level 5. After talking to him, you'll unlock the quest in your journal, but there may still be some roadblocks.
If so, then you'll see the quest's name in your journal with gray lines going through it. In order to actually start the quest, you will need to complete the following other quests.
- Open The Nature Preserve
- Re-Haunt The Spooky Swamp
- Comic Relief
Some of these quests, like Comic Relief, have their own prerequisites, but you'll clearly be able to see these when clicking on the quest name in your journal.
How To Complete Tuxedosam's Dye Upgrade Quest
The quest itself is fairly simple to complete. All you need to do is find Badtz-maru and Kuromi, completing a smaller quest for both of them.
Badtz-Maru
Upon speaking with Badtz-maru, you'll learn that the dye in question is within a chest next to him, but he wants to put something else there in its place. From here, you'll need to head to My Melody and speak with her. Doing so will make her hand over a table, which can then be given to Badtz-maru.
After he gets the table, he'll then open the chest which allows you to get the dye.
Kuromi
Now, head to Kuromi. By talking to her, you'll learn that the dye is in a chest. Here, you'll just need to follow a Null into the swamp, who will lead you directly to the chest. Once both you and the Null arrive, you can open it to receive the dye.
Return To Tuxedosam
After getting dye from Badtz-maru and Kuromi, you can head back to Tuxedosam and complete the quest. He'll give you a few more dye pouches and talk with you but other than that, there is nothing else major that you need to do for the quest.
How To Dye Clothes
CloseYou can now finally dye clothes! By interacting with the dye station in Tuxedosam's shop, you can see all the clothing that can be dyed. If you have enough dye on hand, then you can go through with coloring the piece of selected clothing.
How To Get More Dye
After completing the quest Reef Revival (with Hello Kitty at friendship level 11), you'll get access to the Recycling Plant. This unique plant lets you put in various trash items to get a few goodies, including dye pouches.
This is a great way to get dye, so be sure to complete Reef Revival after reaching level 11 of friendship with Hello Kitty!
