5 Hidden Details In Hello Neighbor 2 Everyone Completely Missed

It's been quite some time since Hello Neighbor 2 hit the shelves, and players are still discovering new secrets. What's more, there's no sign of them stopping. The game follows Quentin, a guard turned journalist, dead set on unraveling the mysterious disappearances in the town for the local paper, Raven Brooks Banner.

As the eager beaver Quentin is, nothing will stop him from ransacking every home for some clues, even if it leads to him landing right on his butt after getting caught by the neighbors. However, these encounters with the neighbors often lead to jumpscares. As such, instead of thoroughly scouring the area for some well-placed easter eggs, you're frantically running towards your safe haven: a cupboard. Here's what you missed.
5 The In-game Animated Pilot
Hello Neighbor could've made for an exciting TV show similar to Gravity Falls, minus the fantasy aspect. In fact, a Hello Neighbor TV show was well on its way to release until the project was scrapped a couple of years back with only a pilot episode released. However, if you were too busy solving puzzles in Peterson's house, you might've missed the abridged version of the Pilot episode that has made its way in-game.
This easter egg is often shrugged off since it's played on the TV on the second floor, which also gives a clue to one of the house's puzzles. The TV has two channels, one for the puzzle and the other for the pilot. Well, make it three if turning it off counts.
If you watch it you can make out some pop culture references to tv shows like the Simpsons and Gravity Falls within the pilot.
Now, if you're too worried about the TV alarming the Police officer, then there's a fat chance, pun intended, he'll catch you. After all, the guy is too busy munching down donuts and won't even bother using a pair of bolt cutters to pry open the locked door to the basement. So why bother catching intruders?
4 The Hello-Copter Can Pick Things Up
While the Hello-copter that comes with the DLC is a reference to the secret drone in the Alpha versions of the game, players often overlook its grappling hook. In fact, some even have no idea about the utility of its grappling hook, and what it does is almost game-breaking right from the get-go.
You can calmly sit inside a cupboard while the drone fetches the required objects with its grappling hook to solve puzzles. Or maybe even have it push weights to bring down platforms while you loot some secret stashes. Talk about a two-man team!

Amusingly enough, the drone has no effect on the guards whatsoever, aside from showing discomfort when flying near them. What's more, while all the other objects you nabbed are taken back when caught by the guards, the trusty Hello-copter will always stay by your side. You've paid to acquire it, after all!
3 The Plague Doctor Statue Is Similar To The Guest
The Guest, also referred to as the Raven Man, was the scrapped antagonist for the Alpha and Beta versions of Hello Neighbor 2. However, the game did slip in some easter eggs, and one that lies in plain sight is the eerie Guest-like statue in the Museum. The figure spans the entire Museum, with its upper torso on the final floor of the building.
To the casual eye, this appears to be a statue of the Guest. However, this is a figure of the Forest Protectors (Ravens), and Guest has no connections of any sort with them aside from the fact they somehow look similar.
That said, no one's sure why Peterson's keeping a statue of it. However, Hello Neighbor's lore does give away some details, with them being linked to the tragedies that befell Peterson and his current unhinged state. One could even say that Peterson has a bone to pick with them, and he keeps his anger ablaze by glancing at the statue daily.
2 Cassette Hunt
In terms of narrative, Hello Neighbor 2 doesn’t expand much beyond what’s already established in the prequels due to its short playtime. However, if you utilize your parkour skills to swiftly traverse the rooftops, you can find eight cassettes cleverly scattered throughout it. You'll find them in bird nests, specifically raven nests, which will provide deeper insight into the game's lore.

Making use of your Hello-Copter can help you spot them. Once you find them, insert them in the tape recorder in Peterson's computer room. However, its audio lines are in Russian. Luckily, some keen observers did manage to get something out of it, which seemingly relates to the Ravens, and here's what some of its translated audio lines are:
"You must find Peterson Immediately"
"We're Doing What We Can"
"You're Not Doing Enough"
"???"
"??? Hiding The Evidence"
"Deal With Him"
In another tape, you can hear someone parking the car, most probably Peterson, who mumbles something while taking a shovel from the trunk to bury someone. While all this is happening, you can even hear another person screaming if you keep your ears open. That said, it's no surprise that players' speculations regarding these strange occurrences are all over the roof, and some are even linking it to Beatrix from Hello Guest.
1 THEYCROW
Perhaps the biggest mystery left unsolved by most players is that of the Forest Protectors, to which there are subtle hints in the game, like the statue. While Hello Neighbor 2's ending has left many players hanging, this didn't stop hardcore fans from scouring every corner of the web to gather as much intel on them as possible. One player went on to discover a video titled "- .... . -.-- -.-. .-. --- .--", translating to THEYCROW in morsecode.
The video is pretty difficult to find unless you land on the Raven Brooks Banner Archive website after entering the "HATCHERYWINGATE" password. Inside are various newspapers, which you can read to join up some dots regarding the lore, and some doodles, one of which redirects to the video.
That said, the video shows some creepy content relating to the game, including images of the Forest Protectors, the words "THEYCROW" and "WE KNOW", and the Mayak station in a distorted manner. So far, that’s all there is to this unless the developers roll out new DLC content or another sequel for a clearer picture, but it's still worth diving into.
