Video games have given us countless iconic vehicles over the years. Mario's karts, the taxi from Crazy Taxi, and the Tornado plane Tails first flies in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, just to name a few. However, most video game vehicles can't be experienced in real life, your rides in them locked to the confines of your consoles and screens. Not Halo's Warthog, though. Arguably one of the most iconic video game vehicles of all, and right now the real-life version of it is available for a heavily reduced price at Walmart.

The ride-on Halo Warthog, which is designed with children in mind before you go getting any bright ideas, is on sale at Walmart. Usually $498, you can currently get one for $373, presumably for a very limited time. If you still think that sounds like a lot for something that might seem like a toy on the surface, this ridable Halo Warthog does a lot more than any other ridable toys you will have seen before.

For starters, it has a top speed of nine mph. Again, that might not sound like much, but that's two to three times faster than most other ride-on kids toys. It's also big enough to seat two people. That's two children, although the weight limit is 130 pounds so if you weigh less than that, by all means, give it a go, but don't say I didn't warn you if something bad happens. I've still not touched on the best thing of all - Walmart's Halo Warthog has a mounted laser blaster and a laser tag vest, not to mention a handheld laser blaster to go along with them.

Halo Warthog Ride On with Laser Tag Blaster

$373 $498 Save $125

Halo's ride on Warthog is a scaled-down recreation of the iconic video game vehicle that you can ride around in real-life. Designed for two children, one driving and the other controller the laser tag cannon. The Warthog also comes with a laser tag vest and handheld blaster so whoever's wearing it can fight back.

That means you can have one kid driving, another manning the cannon, and a third wearing the vest with their own blaster firing back as the Warthog team tries to track them down. There's not much in 2024 that makes me wish I was a kid again because most of the stuff I loved as a kid, like Pokemon, now gets products specifically marketed to adults. A ridable Halo Warthog that I'm too heavy to ride on though, that's something I'll sadly have to leave for the next generation to enjoy. Even the laser tag vest won't fit. Maybe they'll let me have a go on the blaster.

Until Microsoft makes a bigger version of this for grown-ups, which would be extremely ill-advised and likely end in tears (probably mine), we'll have to settle for Cybertrucks that have been wrapped so they look like Halo's Razorbacks. For a little less than $3,000, a company called SS Customs will give your Cybertruck a paint job, making it look like Master Chief might be behind the wheel. It actually makes Tesla's controversial new cars look kind of cool which I previously assumed was impossible.
