Pearls are a somewhat rare resource that can only be obtained through a single source. However, they are used for a variety of Incantations and Arcana unlocks, making them essential for progression. Below, we'll detail exactly how to get Pearls in Hades 2.

Hades 2 is currently in Early Access, so the information in this guide is subject to change as development progresses.

How To Get Pearls

The only way to get Pearls is to defeat Scylla and the Sirens at the bottom of Oceanus, the second region in the underworld path. You'll get one Pearl every time you defeat this boss, and there are currently no other ways to get Pearls in the game.

Our complete guide to the Scylla and the Sirens boss fight can be found here.

How To Make It Through Oceanus

Before you can fight Scylla and the Sirens, you'll need to make it through Oceanus. This area is quite different from Erebus, posing a higher threat through different enemies and environmental traps.

Compared to Erebus, the main thing you'll want to be mindful of as you explore Oceanus are the environmental traps that appear in most locations. You'll frequently come across large bronze steam boilers that will explode if they are hit enough times, dealing high damage in the area before leaking steam, which deals damage over time.

Additionally, the enemies you face in Oceanus are much more aggressive than Erebus. Fish-like enemies will attack relentlessly, meaning you'll have to quickly shift your focus from defending to attacking when the time is right.

In Oceanus, you may come across rooms with exits that need to be unsealed first. Attempting to unseal one of these exits will force you to battle another round of enemies, but you'll get the chance at a different reward in the next room!

Finally, at the end of Oceanus, you'll have to defeat Scylla and the Sirens before you can claim your Pearl. We have a detailed guide to this fight linked above, but in general, your strategy should be to focus on Roxy the drummer first, then Jetty the guitarist, and finally Scylla herself. Defeat the Sirens to get your Pearl!
