Additionally, Skybound Arts can be chained together for Chain Bursts, adding even more damage to these cinematic attacks. The effect of the Chain Burst depends on the connections of the characters.
10 Ars Magna
Caligostro
This near-immortal alchemist with a cute voice and a bad attitude can blast helpless foes with conjured maces and swords with her grimoire book. With her ability to conjure magical implements and spectral weapons, Caligostro is a menace on the battlefield, and that doesn't account for her Skybound Art.
Her Skybound Art attack is a powerful flow of attacks based on her alchemy research. After conjuring several daggers to start her attack, she summons two spheres of Ouroboros to wipe the floor with a single target. Obliterating them is a vortex of effects and explosions.
9 Tempest Blade
The Captain (Either Gran or Djeeta)
CloseThe main characters you can select at the beginning of the game have slightly alternate versions of the same Skybound Art. Their fighting styles are slightly different, and they use the same sword, so it makes sense to set them together. The only distinctions are the slightly different animations, although the overall effect is the same.
For Gran, the animation starts with a small flurry as he empowers his sword with wind magic. He then swipes his sword in two directions while leaving two slashes of wind before jumping into the air and delivering massive damage to one enemy. Djeeta also starts her form of the attack similarly, only she slashes a few more times and finishes with a strong jump attack.
8 Resolute Strike
Zeta
This fighter of the beast-fighting society wields her contract spear, the Spear of Arvess, to great effect in battle, from gathering fire to her weapon to unleashing it on foes. When he commences the Piercing Punishment, he charges a fiery bullet into his main rifle and shoots it out for a contained explosion. He then finishes off the attack with a second bullet charged with his secondary pistol. The two fiery bullet blasts combine for a dynamic explosion that puts down any enemy in the blast radius.
