You’ve probably already met the Fatui, a diplomatic organization from Snezhnaya, who also serve as one of the main antagonists in the game. Leading them are the Fatui Harbingers, lieutenants of the Tsaritsa who all possess immense strength and authority, with some even powerful enough to rival the gods.

As there are only three playable harbingers as of Fontaine, this list talks about their strength in terms of the lore and not their in-game abilities.

11 Tartaglia

Childe, Eleventh Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

A proud citizen of Snezhnaya, Ajax, better known by his playable name, Tartaglia, and his Fatui title Childe, knew the art of war at a very young age. When he was 14, he wandered into a snowy forest and fell into the Abyss, where he met his soon-to-be sword master, a young girl named Skirk.

Tartaglia is currently the youngest Harbinger in the history of the Fatui. Although he may be the last and, technically, weakest of his peers, his brute strength and fighting prowess are nothing to scoff at, being able to battle the All-Devouring Narwhal on his own for days, and only hint that those above him are just that much stronger.

10 Pantalone

Regrator, Ninth Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

Pantalone, codename: Regrator, is the Ninth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers and is in charge of the operations of the Northland Bank, a Snezhnayan bank with branches all over the world. According to the Pale Flame artifact set, “he was not one of the favored” and thus, does not possess a Vision.

Very little is known about Pantalone, except for the fact that he’s very rich, and while he has yet to be directly introduced in the story, his influence can already be seen in Teyvat. 9 La Signora

The Fair Lady, Eighth Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

The Fair Lady Signora, also known by her former name, Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter, was a Sumerian scholar from Mondstadt, roughly 500 years ago. After the death of her lover during the cataclysm, she became consumed with rage and used the lost art of liquid fire to transform herself into the Crimson Witch of Flames, before being recruited by the Jester.

As Eighth of the Fatui Harbingers, Signora was able to easily incapacitate the Anemo Archon Venti and steal his Gnosis. She was unfortunately defeated by the Traveler and killed by the Raiden Shogun shortly after, but despite that, her ability to abandon her mortal body and use a lost art to let liquid fire flow through herself still speaks volumes about her power.

8 Sandrone

Marionette, Seventh Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

Like Pantalone, the Marionette has yet to be introduced in the game. Very little is known about her, except for a few lines from the playable harbingers talking about her “terrible personality”, and the fact that she’s the seventh, which puts her above characters like Tartaglia and Signora in terms of power.

According to some voice lines, Sandrone is always engrossed in her research involving Automatons, and can be seen riding a modified Ruin Machine at Signora’s funeral. One thing that can be noticed about her is that she’s the only Harbinger whose eyes remained open when the Fatui were paying respects to Signora while closing their eyes.

7 Scaramouche

Balladeer, Sixth Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

Scaramouche, also known as Kunikuzushi, was created by Raiden Ei to serve as a prototype puppet to bear her Gnosis. After his creation, Ei had initially thought of discarding him, but then later decided to set him free after sealing his power and leaving him in slumber inside a domain.

6 Pulcinella

The Rooster, Fifth Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

Pulcinella, also known by his codename, the Rooster, is the Fifth of the Fatui Harbingers and the Mayor of what appears to be the capital city of Snezhnaya. He was first seen as a featured character for the Snezhnaya chapter in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail.

Very little is known about him other than his rank and name, and the fact that he was the one who recruited Tartaglia into the Fatui, with the promise of helping his family. He appears to be the only elderly person in the harbingers in terms of physical appearance, which makes it interesting to think if he’ll be playable or not.

5 Arlecchino

The Knave, Fourth Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

Arlecchino used to be an orphan named Peruere in the House of the Hearth, led by the previous Knave and their 'Mother', Crucabena. She earned her spot in the harbingers after killing her 'Mother', following the death of her 'sister' due to Crucabena and the Doctor’s experimentation, and becoming the House of the Hearth’s 'Father'.

As the Fourth of the Fatui Habingers, Arlecchino’s strength is immeasurable, drawing power from the Balemoon Bloodfire coursing through her veins, a power that came from the Crimson Moon Dynasty of the ancient civilization Khaenri’ah. Many have burned from her flames, with the previous and high-ranking Knave being just one of them.

4 Columbina

Damselette, Third Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

The enigmatic Columbina, also known by her codename, Damselette, is the Third of the Fatui Harbingers and is arguably the most mysterious out of all of them. Like many of the other non-playable harbingers, she made her first appearance during Signor’s funeral.

Despite her innocent demeanor and young appearance, she’s implied to be extremely dangerous, with both Tartaglia and Scaramouche even warning the Traveler to stay away from her. Her power is unknown yet, but according to Nahida, the top three Fatui Harbingers have power rivaling that of the gods.

3 Il Dottore

The Doctor, Second Of The Eleven Fatui Harbingers

Il Dottore, the Doctor, made his in-game debut during the Sumeru Archon Quest, where it was revealed that he assisted the sages in creating an artificial god. Before being recruited by Pierro, Il Dottore was known as Zandik, a student that was exiled from the Sumeru Akademiya due to his intense experimentation on humans.

The extent of Dottore’s power is still unknown, but as one of the top Fatui Harbingers, it can be assumed that he’s powerful enough to rival the Seven Archons. He was also able to create sentient segments of himself using different points in his life in order to surpass his own human cognition and lifespan.

2 Il Capitano

The Captain

As of Fontaine, Capitano, better known as the Captain, is the only harbinger whose rank still hasn’t been officially announced, with only the Tenth and First spots left. However, based on voice lines from his fellow Harbingers, it can be assumed that he’s the First, with all of them appearing in order of their rank.

With voice lines and in-game information leading to Il Capitano being the First, the Tenth Harbinger is currently unknown and is the only harbinger who hasn't been revealed yet.

Tartaglia, Wanderer, and Arlecchino also speak of Capitano’s power, further solidifying that he’s stronger than all of them and thus would be ranked first. Nothing else is known about him aside from him currently being in Natlan and has “thrown his hat into the nation’s endless ring of war”.
