Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods is best for characters like Navia, Itto, Ningguang, and Geo Traveler. With Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods equipped, you will be able to use them and their Geo abilities to make them more powerful and quickly take down opponents.

What Are Artifacts?

Artifacts are items that your characters can hold which will give them stat boosts and additional effects. Artifacts come in sets. A two-piece of a set will give your characters a small bonus, while a four-piece of a set will give your character even greater bonuses. A single character can hold up to five Artifacts.

What Does Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods Do?

Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods is a good artifact set for Geo DPS characters. It helps characters gain more Attack and deal more Geo damage. It also provides buffs for characters affected by Geo crystals.

The two-piece increases Attack by 18 percent.

The four-piece grants the following effects:

  • 20 percent Geo damage bonus after using the character’s Elemental Skill (E-Skill on PC).
  • This effect is increased by 150 percent when the character has a shield obtained through a Crystallise reaction.

You can trigger Crystallise reactions by reacting Geo with Pyro, Electro, Cryo, or Hydro. These reactions drop crystals which will give your team a shield when they are picked up.

Where To Find Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods

Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods can be found in the Waterfall Wen Domain in Fontaine. It is located in the Belleau Region near the East Slopes of Mont Automnequi.

It’s recommended to bring Geo characters to fight this Domain.

Navia

Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods is Navia’s best Artifact set.

Navia is primarily a main DPS, though she can be used as a sub-DPS as well. Whichever you choose, Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods’ Attack and Geo damage bonus are both incredibly useful for her.

Navia’s skills primarily focus on attacking enemies with Geo. Her Elemental Skill (E Skill), Ceremonial Crystalshoot, fires the Shrapnel she has accumulated at enemies, dealing up to an additional 200 percent more damage. The more Shrapnel she has, the more powerful this attack becomes.

With Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods, Navia will be able to deal an incredible amount more of Geo damage. While shielded and with the maximum amount of shrapnel, she has the potential to deal over 350 percent more damage.

You can gain Shrapnel by picking up Geo crystals created by Crystallisation.

Her Elemental Burst (Q Skill), As the Sunlit Sky’s Singing Salute, does damage to nearby enemies and further Geo damage over time. Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods’ Attack boost helps increase the initial attack, but the Geo Damage boost goes a long way towards making the Geo damage bursts more deadly.

Here are the substats you should focus on:

  • Attack because all her attacks scale off this stat.
  • Geo Damage Bonus will give all her attacks an additional buff.

Arataki Itto

Itto’s primary abilities when he holds Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods are his basic attacks and his Elemental Burst (Q Skill), Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil! His normal attacks will, of course, help him deal damage to enemies, which is his main function as a main DPS.

Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil! grants him the following effects:

  • Turns his attacks into Geo damage.
  • Increases his attack speed.
  • Increases his Attack stat, scaling off his Defense stat.
  • Grants him more Superlative Strength stacks(which increase his overall Attack).
  • Increases his resistance by 20 percent.

Ushi can be created through his Elemental Skill (E Skill). Ushi’s primary function here will be to get enemies to attack him, which will in turn give Itto more stacks of Superlative Strength.

Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods is simply going to help him attack harder with both his basic attacks and his Elemental Burst (Q Skill). These buffs are rather simple, but effective.

Itto doesn’t have an easy time creating Crystallise reactions unless he’s using his Elemental Burst (Q Skill), so it may be useful to have another Geo character on your team to help create Geo Crystals so Itto can make the most out of Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods’ four-piece.

These are the substats Itto should focus on:
  • Attack because this is the stat he will be making the most of.
  • Defense because one of the benefits granted by Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil! scales off his Defense.

Ningguang

Ningguang’s main role with Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods is as a main DPS. As a Catalyst character, she can easily create Crystallise reactions, helping to enable her Geo damage bonus this Artifact set gives her.

Furthermore, she can make the most out of the Geo damage bonus the four-piece gives her because she continuously attacks with Geo.She can have its effects active at all times, which gives her a leg up on other Geo DPS characters.

Ningguang’s ability to create Jade Screens has a bonus effect where if she moves through it, she will gain an additional Geo damage bonus. Keep this in mind for if you want to maximise her Geo damage, especially if she needs to move around to hit enemies.

Finally, her Elemental Burst (Q Skill) is fantastic for burst damage as it hits multiple enemies with Geo at once.

Have an off-field DPS like Fischl, Xianling, Yae Miko, Xinqiu, or Furina on your team to help Ningguang continuously set up Crystallise reactions.

Here are some substats you should focus on:

  • Geo Damage Bonus because she consistently applies Geo to enemies.
  • Elemental Mastery will help all her attacks and abilities become more powerful.
  • Attack will do much of the same as Elemental Mastery by making her attacks more powerful.

Geo Traveler

If you’re relying on Geo Traveler to deal a lot of damage, Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods is a good set for them.

You’ll be relying a lot on your basic attacks to deal damage, so Nighttime Whispers In The Echoing Woods’ Attack bonus is really helpful here.

Your secondary attack will be their Elemental Burst (Q Skill), Wake of Earth, which will deal a lot of Geo damage to nearby enemies, in addition to creating Geo constructs. Maximise their damage output by using the rest of your team to help create Crystallise reactons.

Geo Traveler can also use their Elemental Skill (E Skill), Starfell Sword, to hit enemies with Geo damage by aiming it right at the enemy, but this should only be used if you're in a pinch. Generally, the Geo construct Starfell Sword gives you will be more useful as a barrier or platform for your archers and Catalyst users. It's especially useful as a barrier in weekly boss fights and when fighting enemies whose attacks have a large Area of Effect.

Here are some good substats to focus on:

  • Attack to enhance their basic attacks.
  • Energy Regeneration to help them trigger their Elemental Burst (Q Skill) more often.
