18 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

The next best thing to Marvel's Spider-Man is the sequel, Miles Morales. Featuring a number of upgrades to the combat, story, and exploration, Miles Morales cements itself as a great spinoff sequel, and one of the best games on the PS5, taking full advantage of the console's speed and power.

Everything that you loved about the original game is back and better than ever in this sequel. Just keep in mind that it is significantly shorter than Marvel's Spider-Man, but no less enjoyable for it.

17 Batman: Arkham Knight

Prior to Spider-Man, Batman Arkham Knight was considered to be the greatest superhero game in history. With breathtakingly detailed graphics, incredible action, and a fantastic story, the game had everything you could want.

It features all of your favorite Batman villains just waiting to be taken down, but the main focus is on finding out who the Arkham Knight is and why he is helping Scarecrow destroy the city. The franchise is a fantastic one, with this being the ideal final installment in the series that any superhero fan should play through, especially if you enjoyed Marvel's Spider-Man.

16 Spider-Man (2002)

This game might have been released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2, but that doesn't stop this from being a classic. Despite its age, Spider-Man for the PS2 set a precedent for Spider-Man-centric games that would eventually lead to the development of Marvel's Spider-Man that we know and love.

This game has everything any Spider-Man fan could want, from a collection of classic villains to Spider-Man's iconic quips. The action is superb and the graphics for the time were brilliant.

15 Infamous Second Son

The third game in the Infamous series, Second Son is a great choice for enjoyers of Marvel's Spider-Man. Infamous Second Son cranks things up from the first two titles, with the game being set in a futuristic Seattle where super-powered conduits are hunted down as criminals, making this a little bit darker than the Marvel web-slinger.

However, despite it being a little grittier, it is certainly a lot of fun as you are forced to take on different challenges as you look to get to grips with new powers in a game that is packed with a great narrative story.

14 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

If you're a fan of the world of Marvel in general, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 may be a good choice to follow up on Marvel's Spider-Man. This game offers a massive roster of some of Marvel's best characters, and features a story focusing on the Secret War and Civil War arcs from the comics.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is tons of fun with lots of different Marvel characters being featured, and several options coming from the Spider-Man universe. The Marvel Ultimate Alliance series is an incredibly popular one and this version of the game really does offer up some fantastic gameplay with tons of action.

13 Sunset Overdrive

Sunset Overdrive is another game created by Insomniac, and has all of the explosive action that anybody could want, with players having to blast their way through hoards of rabid mutants.

The game allows players to fly along rails and over rooftops, offering up a similar sensation to Spider-Man swinging around New York, with the focus of this particular game being all about survival. With a stylish design, the game requires players to be as creative as possible, whether it be building a plane or uniting gangs to lead an assault, the game is packed with things to do.

12 Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War

While the Lord of the Rings world and Spider-Man may not have anything in common, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Marvel's Spider-Man may have more in common than is first apparent. Open-world exploration, tons of powers and abilities to unlock, collectibles to discover, and satisfying melee common; these aspects describe both games perfectly.

Just like Spider-Man, this is a fantastic open-world game that only gets better the more you explore, although it does provide a very different pace to that of Peter Parker's masked character. The game is just as good as Spider-Man though, with players needing to raise an army and forge a brand new Ring of Power to take on Sauron who is attempting to overtake the land for darker purposes.

11 God Of War

The God of War franchise is an absolutely incredible one and the 2018 installment into this franchise would certainly be a hit with fans of Spider-Man. The game has an amazing narrative with tons of action constantly taking place.

The brilliance of Spider-Man lies in how much energy the game has and the fact something is constantly happening, which is why God of War would work so well, as it is another game that has amazing gameplay and stunning graphics to go along with it.

10 The Amazing Spider-Man 2

This is another game that fans of Marvel's Spider-Man will enjoy, mainly because it also features Spider-Man himself in a similar situation around New York, working as the friendly neighborhood hero.

This game is focused on the Amazing Spider-Man movies featuring Andrew Garfield, even going so far as to have the same title. However, this movie tie-in take away from the fun of swinging around the buildings and beating up bad guys. While the game isn't anywhere near the level of Marvel's Spider-Man, it is still a lot of fun for die-hard fans of Spider-Man.

9 Lego Marvel Superheroes 2

While the Lego games are, on the surface, much more simple than Marvel's Spider-Man, that doesn't make them any less enjoyable. Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 has tons of collectibles, characters, and powers to explore.

There's some great gameplay to be had, it's not overly complex, and is just lots of fun to play. It features a ton of subtle references to the comics that older gamers will likely appreciate, making this perfect for gamers young and old.
