It features extremely funny and unusual illnesses that make the hospital management experience truly awesome. While both of the games follow a similar premise, the comparison below can give you an idea of what game might be best suited for you and deserves the investment.

8 Challenges And Missions - Two Point Hospital

Difficult But Fun

The first few stages in Two Point Hospital are all about decorating and building. However, as you complete the missions, the game gets more and more challenging as you have to treat a number of patients with hard-to-diagnose illnesses in order to get profit. The missions you complete in the game keep you hooked, making the experience both engaging and challenging.

Especially compared to Two Point Hospital, Galacticare is fairly laid-back and easy. The gameplay is relaxing, and you can easily accomplish the required objectives without much effort, which might feel boring sometimes. Therefore, in terms of gameplay, difficulty, and challenges, Two Point Hospital is definitely the one to consider as it introduces harder challenges with time, making it immensely enjoyable to grind for rewards.

7 Level Design - Galacticare

Unique And Compelling

The level design of Two Point Hospital is pretty straightforward. You get to decorate and manage 15 hospitals, each with different difficulties to overcome. Initially, the levels and missions are pretty fun and interesting to do. However, after a while, things get pretty repetitive as you see identical mechanisms in almost every other stage. Although the challenges are pretty attractive, the level designs lack diversity.

Galacticare does the level design with more attention to detail, as each level is unique and equally engaging. Sometimes you are required to manage two extremely narrow hospitals, and sometimes you are required to run a hospital located near the Burning Moon Festival, healing patients from a concert gone wrong. Therefore, in terms of level design, Galacticare is undoubtedly the winner.

6 Writing And Humor - Two Point Hospital

Painfully Hilarious

Both Two Point Hospital and Galacticare feature incredible humor and funny dialogues. Two Point Hospital executes the jokes greatly and they fit very well with the overall gameplay. Even when the patients are not saying anything, their actions alone are incredibly amusing to watch. Everything from patient descriptions to employee resumes has hilarious puns that make the gameplay ten times better.

Galacticare is a pretty fun game as well, but even though the voice acting is incredible, the dialogue delivery can feel too much at times. The jokes, however, are pretty decent. It’s only that there is a constant bombardment of dialogues at every point of the gameplay that can be a bit annoying at times. Therefore, in terms of humor and writing, Two Point Hospital takes the crown.

5 Characters - Two Point Hospital

Rich In Personality

In Two Point Hospital, you come across tons of unique personalities that keep you entertained throughout your gameplay. Both the staff and the patients have demands that you need to fulfill in order to keep them happy and avoid bankruptcy. Watch as the patients dance in the X-ray machine and annoy the nurses, even after their deaths, by becoming ghosts.

Galacticare, on the other hand, has you treating aliens of different species. The interactions are fun and every alien is amusing in their own way. The character design is undoubtedly decent in the game. However, they lack personality, something which Two Point Hospital has a ton of.

4 Art Style And Graphics - Galacticare

The Space Theme Never Goes Wrong

Two Point Hospital has a very bright art style and the characters seem straight out of a claymation movie. The graphics are a treat for the eyes as you get to manage hospitals decorated with colorful and fun items.

On the other hand, Galacticare has a darker art style that fits very well with the sci-fi space theme it follows. Every level has incredible details put into it and the game allows you to use beautiful decorations to make your hospitals more lively. While both of the games feature stunning visuals, Galacticare is slightly better in terms of its striking art style.

3 Diseases - Two Point Hospital

Unusual But Funny

There are a lot of hilarious and fictional diseases in Two Point Hospital that you have to cure in unconventional ways. However, diagnosing them is quite challenging as some of the patients might not show visible symptoms. Some of your patients can be suffering from an inflated ego that you can cure using a psychiatrist. Other times, you have to face patients with Jest infection that literally turns them into a clown. Furthermore, you will have to treat the patients quickly, otherwise, they will turn into ghosts and haunt your hospitals.

Galacticare also features a lot of bizarre diseases that you are required to diagnose. The illnesses are very chaotic, and you have to help the patients suffering from Jellification or having metal grow on their skin. While the diseases featured in Galacticare are unique and interesting, Two Point Hospital definitely features better and more creative illnesses with unique ways of treating them, making it more engaging in comparison.

2 User Interface - Two Point Hospital

Easy And Neat

Two Point Hospital has a very clear, straightforward, and simple UI and everything is easy to manage. Decorating the hospital and assigning doctors and nurses is pretty quick. While managing the hospitals can be quite an ordeal in the game, building them is fairly easy and the user interface allows you to shift an entire room from one place to another.

Galacticare has decent controls, but the UI can still use improvement. There are a lot of bugs and issues that can be pretty annoying. Hopefully, the game developers will fix the issues in future updates, but until then, Two Point Hospital is the way to go.

1 Winner - Two Point Hospital

Perfect In Every Sense

Both Galacticare and Two Point Hospital are extremely fun management games. If you are a fan of the genre, then you should definitely try both of them out. But it is recommended to get Two Point Hospital first because it clearly does everything better, including humor and gameplay mechanics.  This makes it a title worth trying out, even if management simulations are not your cup of tea.

But that doesn’t make Galacticare a bad game in any sense. It definitely has a lot of potential along with some room for improvement. If the game manages to fix the current bugs and issues and put a bit more effort into UI, it can definitely surpass Two Point Hospital as a worthy rival.
