Gacha games are a staple for any mobile device, but not all are created equal. Due to many gacha games being free, you may come across one that doesn't have the best graphics. This isn't the worst scenario, but it can definitely take some of the magic out.

No, you don't have to put money into every gacha game to enjoy them. Let's check the best ones on this list.

Thankfully, there are plenty of gacha games out there that deliver a graphically impressive experience. Here, we are going to take a look at some gacha games with the best graphics out there. These cover a variety of genres and for the most part, deliver quality content in terms of appearance and story.

8 HoYoverse Games

Close

Sure, we could have put each HoYoverse on this list separately, but that's unnecessary. Instead of adding them individually, just know that when you are about to dive into a HoYoverse game, you can expect to see impressive graphics.

Below, you can check out some of our favorite HoYoverse games with great graphics.

  • Tears of Themis
  • Zenless Zone Zero
  • Genshin Impact
  • Honkai: Star Rail

Throughout these games, you'll see similar character designs, but each one still looks absolutely gorgeous.

7 Blue Archive

Next, we have Blue Archive. This is a tactical strategy game that also has a compelling and interesting story. The battling in Blue Archive doesn't just consist of a flat, 2D screen with characters taking turns attacking another 2D monster though.

Instead, you'll navigate through an impressive 3D environment with your team, who are students. Interestingly, Blue Archive combines the typical gacha mechanics with a visual novel, which is perfect if you favor a good storyline.

6 Punishing: Gray Raven

Punishing: Gray Raven is a hack-and-slash gacha game that delivers quality graphics despite the fast-paced combat. If you like games such as Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, then Punishing: Gray Raven may feel similar.

Overall, Punishing: Gray Raven is incredibly smooth and satisfying, which is great if you favor active combat in a mobile game as opposed to simple, turn-based combat or auto-battling.

5 Shining Nikki

Shining Nikki is a bit different from the other games on our list. This gacha game involves summoning clothing, which is then used to dress up. You can dress up for fun, as well as 'battle' others in fashion contests. Although Shining Nikki maintains an anime style, the 3D graphics are phenomenal.

This is one of my favorite games on this list! I'm a huge fan of Nikki games, and look forward to the upcoming launch of Infinity Nikki.

It's important to note that Shining Nikki is a sequel to Love Nikki, which was also a mobile gacha game. Instead of being 3D though, Love Nikki was 2D; dressing up Nikki felt similar to dressing up a paper doll. While this was charming, the upgraded graphics were much appreciated.

4 Arknights

While Arknights doesn't involve 3D-modeled characters engaging in intense combat, there is no denying that the art style is gorgeous. The characters you summon, called Operators, can also be leveled up (much like every gacha game), which changes their art.

You can expect the six-star characters to have impressive art, especially when fully leveled up. Overall, Arknights can get pretty difficult. As a tower defense game, you can expect to replay some levels multiple times.

3 Reverse: 1999

Next up, we have Reverse: 1999. This game is a bit newer than some of the previous games on our list, but it still brings wonderful art and impressive graphics. In terms of combat, you can expect turn-based battles with card mechanics.

Reverse: 1999 feels like a classic RPG at times, especially with the 'painted' look given to your Arcanists. Within the game, you can also create and develop your own land, called the Wilderness. This area adds a unique look to the game, giving you some variation.

2 Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent

The Octopath Traveler franchise excels in creating HD-2D games, which essentially combines a classic pixel graphic with a 3D background that adds depth to the world. Within the franchise, you can find Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, which continues to deliver quality graphics.

If you are looking to scratch your Octopath Traveler itch, then this game is perfect for you. In addition to seeing a new cast of characters, there will be some familiar faces in the mix!

1 Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis

Last but not least, we have Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis. This game retells the time leading up to Final Fantasy 7, and includes a story focused on Sephiroth's path. Rather than sticking with the original Final Fantasy 7 art style though, this gacha game feels more graphically similar to Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Overall, this is a must-play for any fan of Final Fantasy. Like every other game on our list, this is free to play, allowing you to play through a new story (about Sephiroth!) without spending a dime.
