15 Guilty Gear Strive Characters And Their Perfect Pokemon Partner

Guilty Gear is a fighting game series all about pitting incredibly strong fighters up against one another. But, what if they decided to battle in a different way? What if instead of using their out of this worldly powers to fight each other, they settled the score via Pokemon battles?

This list is here to determine if, in the world where Guilty Gear and Pokemon collide, who each of the base game characters in Guilty Gear Strive's signature Pokemon would be. Whether it be based on their personality, fighting style, appearance, or anything else, this is what we believe the cast of Guilty Gear would look like if they were Pokemon Trainers.
15 Sol Badguy And Infernape
Guilty Gear’s signature brawler Sol Badguy would require a Pokemon that can carry the same energy he can, and Infernape fits that description quite nicely. Known for dishing out heavy-hitting damage, Infernape and Sol are one of the same in that regard.
Additionally, Infernape is a Fire-type Pokemon, and fire is a major part of many of Sol’s moves. Without a doubt, this would be an explosive duo of fiery fighters.
14 Ky Kiske And Pikachu
While Ky isn’t the protagonist of Guilty Gear, he is one of the most traditional fighters in the cast. He primarily fights with his sword, while also using the power of lightning in many of his special attacks.
As a result, he’s a great character to represent the mascot of Pokemon, Pikachu. In addition to both being iconic figures in their respective series, they both fight with electricity, adding to their similarities.
13 May And Lapras
Many would assume that the perfect Pokemon for May would be a dolphin-like Pokemon, however, when you research it a little further, you will realize that across all generations of Pokemon so far, Game Freak has yet to create a dolphin-like Pokemon.

Nevertheless, while there isn’t a dolphin for May, Lapras would fit the bill quite well. Known for transporting people across large bodies of water, Lapras would be a fantastic Pokemon to accompany May on her adventures across the sea.
12 Axl Low And Slowbro
Axl is best known for fighting from a distance and playing very defensively, and Slowbro is a Pokemon that fits that description well. Boasting high defensive and special attacking stats, Slowbro is the type of Pokemon that is quite content with fighting the same way Axl does, by staying away.
In addition, both Axl and Slowbro are considered somewhat airheaded, so their personalities would match well.
11 Chipp Zanuff And Ninjask
The speediest Guilty Gear fighter deserves a Pokemon that can keep up with him, and Ninjask fits that bill perfectly. With Ninjask being the fastest non-legendary Pokemon in existence, it's hard to say who would be keeping up with who between this duo.
On top of the speed similarity, Ninjask is literally the “Ninja Pokemon” in the Pokedex, giving Guilty Gear’s signature ninja a ninja partner of his own.
10 Potemkin And Aggron
Known for being tough as nails, the big bad grappler of Guilty Gear deserves someone as powerful as he is. Potemkin is known for being able to take hits and dishing out massive damage, and Aggron boasts one of the highest defense stats of any Pokemon, as well as an attack stat that isn’t anything to write off either.
Additionally, Steel is one of the toughest types in all of Pokemon, boasting ten resistances, meaning he won’t be taken down easily. When it comes to tough, towering giants, these two are your best bet.
9 Faust And Blissey
Often seen alongside nurses in the Pokemon universe, Blissey would have no trouble fitting in alongside Faust. As Faust is known for taking his job as a doctor very seriously, Faust and Blissey are sure to be a great duo.

Even though Faust has an intimidating appearance, he's known to be a well-meaning individual and cares greatly for his patients. Having a companion to help him keep care for his patients would certainly be of benefit, even despite their aesthetic difference.
8 Millia And Mawile
Millia’s signature aspect is her long, blonde hair, specifically her ability to fight her opponents with it. While it is a very specific style of fighting, surprisingly, a Pokemon fits this archetype with Mawile, biting its foes with its mouth-like hair.
While there are some undeniable differences in how the two fight, Millia’s hair is capable of shape-shifting into just about anything, so maybe she could learn a thing or two from how Mawile fights.
7 Zato-One And Mimikyu
Of all the pokemon on this list, Zato is debatably in need of a Pokemon partner the least, as he has his own Pokemon-like partner with Eddie. Nevertheless, if Zato ever did decide to pick up Pokemon training, Mimikyu would fit him very well. Mimikyu is a Pokemon whose true identity is unknown, as it hides underneath its Pikachu-themed rag.
Its shadow-like aura would blend in well with Zato, who has always fought with Eddie. Additionally, Mimkyu is considered a very lonely Pokemon, and pairing it alongside Eddie would give it the chance to feel less lonely.
6 Ramlethal And Rockruff
Ramlethal getting distracted by a tiny puppy only to then get tackled by it is arguably the most iconic victory screen in Guilty Gear Strive — one that both casual Guilty gear fans and die-hard players are more than familiar with.
Given her fondness for puppies, Ramlethal would no doubt love a Pokemon that resembles her puppy friend. While Ramlethal doesn't let her emotions get the best of her too often, she is bound to have a big reaction when Rockruff evolves into a big Lycanroc.
