A couple has gone viral after sharing their Grand Theft Auto 6 contract that forbids one of them from "walking in front of the TV" or saying "it's just a game".

It's no secret that the launch of GTA 6 is absolutely going to rock the world. Not even counting the ridiculous amount of money and players that it's going to bring in for Rockstar and Take-Two, the most-anticipated game in the world finally releasing has already caused a bunch of games to run for their lives and release a lot earlier or later than planned.

GTA 6 is also going to have a stark impact on the real-world, with some businesses already announcing that they're going to close up shop on the day that the game releases since everyone will be requesting it off anyway. On a more personal level, it looks like one couple is going to be so wrapped up in GTA 6 that they've put together a bizarre contract for it.

One Couple Has Signed A Contract About GTA 6, And It's Being Roasted

I'm Hoping It's Just A Light-Hearted Joke

As reported by GamingBible, Redditor dontfwithme99 recently shared a post on the GTA subreddit that shows a couple having signed a contract agreement regarding the game. The post seems to come from another Redditor altogether, but the original post has been lost to time, suggesting it might have been deleted after the response to it.

The contract itself says that one of the pair can "play Grand Theft Auto 6 as much as I want" as the first stipulation, but it gets a lot weirder from there. The second part of the contract says that whoever isn't playing GTA 6 can't walk "in front of the TV or monitor while a mission, cutscene, heist, or online session is in progress", as that's "strictly forbidden and will result in consequences". Scary.

That's far from all, though, as the other partner can't say "it's just a game" or "you can do it later", and also forbids asking for any hugs and kisses until a mission has been completed or a safe house has been reached. Don't worry, though, as the partner can knock off one of the last three stipulations if they either bought the game or contributed half of its cost.

I'm lucky enough to have a partner who enjoys watching me play games, but even if that wasn't the case, I wouldn't be doing this or showing my arse by putting it on Reddit.

It's a weird contract, and one that I'm hoping was made as a joke and shared around as such, instead of being a totally serious thing. Considering how serious GTA fans get, though, I wouldn't be all that surprised if it was the latter. Either way, it's being absolutely roasted on the subreddit for a number of reasons, which is about as good a sign as any for why the original post was seemingly removed.
