Fortnite Has Vaulted Chapter 5, Season 2's Mythicals

Summary
- Fortnite has vaulted all of Chapter 5, Season 2's Mythicals.
- This includes the Wings of Icarus, one of the biggest new things to be introduced in the season.
- It's likely this has been done to make room for the Avatar: Elements event that just went live today.
Fortnite has vaulted all of Chapter 5, Season 2's Mythicals until May 3, which means you won't be able to use the Wings of Icarus, Thunderbolt of Zeus, and Chains of Hades for nearly a whole month.
Although Chapter 5, Season 2 of Fortnite is nowhere near as exciting as Season 1 (which introduced Peter Griffin, Solid Snake, Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival among many other things), it does at least have an awesome theme that has introduced some of the best Mythicals in the game.

Fortnite’s Battle Royale modes might be what put it on the map, but its horde-based survival origin deserves a lot more love.
PostsThose Mythicals include a powerful thunderbolt that calls back to the Kamehameha Mythical, a great new melee weapon themed around Hades, and, most exciting of all, the Wings of Icarus that let you fly around the map and open up Fortnite like never before. Well, I hope you weren't too attached to those items, as Fortnite has just vaulted them until May 3.
Say Goodbye To The Wings Of Icarus For Nearly A Whole Month
As pointed out by Twitter user and reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX, the Wings of Icarus, Chains of Hades, and Thunderbolt of Zeus have all just been removed from Fortnite until May 3. It's not clear why all three of them have suddenly been taken from the game all at once, but it's likely to do with the Avatar: Elements event having just gone live.
The Elements event introduces a bunch of new Mythicals to the game based on the bending abilities of the main cast, so it seems that Epic thought that having so many Mythicals in the game at one time would be a bit unbalanced. It's not been said for certain that's the case, but it does make sense with the Elements event having just gone live.
Understandably, Fortnite fans aren't very happy about the Mythicals being vaulted, especially when it comes to the Wings of Icarus, which were viewed as the stand-out feature of the season. Chapter 5, Season 2's big draw was that it would let players fly around the Island with ease, something that's not going to be possible for nearly a whole month.
Let's just hope the Avatar Mythicals are anywhere near as good as the Greek-inspired ones.
