The Buried Treasure is a Legendary item in the game that can be found in chests or bought from NPCs. It lets you find a treasure chest that's buried underground and can be dug out thanks to the trustworthy Pickaxe. It grants rare items and weapons that are otherwise tough to find.

Where To Find Buried Treasure

Ideally, the Buried Treasure item can be found randomly in any chest, but the chances of this are slim. It's recommended thatyou purchase it from an NPC.

The best NPC for this is no other than the iconic Jack Sparrow himself, who can be found towards the east of the island. Simply land next to Jack Sparrow, interact with him, and buy the Buried Treasure for 300 gold.

He can be found in front of a ship (visible on the map), right at the shore. This location falls between Grand Glacier and Mount Olympus. The beach also contains a small cave that's not visible on the map, but right behind Jack Sparrow.

If you choose to land at hot spot instead, make sure to stay towards the east of Grand Glacier and Mount Olympus as you move to Jack Sparrow's location. This will likely keep you away from opponents looking for a kill.

Landing directly at the beach keeps you safe from most hot spots in the game, giving you ample time to loot and stay safe from opponents.

Keep in mind that there are three other NPCs you can purchase Buried Treasure from:

• Captain Barbossa: He can be found at Shipwreck Shallows.
• Elizabeth Swann: She is located at Pleasant Piazza.
• Davey Jones: He frequents the western region of The Underworld.

How To Use The Treasure Map

Once you have the map in your hands (by equipping it), you'll notice markers in front of you. This trail leads to the buried treasure, and all you need to do is move in its direction.

Once you see a big cross marked around you, start hitting it with your Pickaxe. Within a couple of seconds, a chest will pop up, and you can open it.

The chest usually gives you a Flint-Knock Pistol and a Ship in a Bottle. These are powerful items in the game that can give you a competitive advantage as the match progresses.

The Flint-Knock Pistol allows you to deal great damage as well as give you some mobility if you choose to fire it at a flat surface.

The Ship in a Bottle creates a giant ship that can break through most structures and allows you to steer it like any other vehicle.
