Every so often, Epic Games will encourage Fortnite players to take to the water sources across the island in search of fish that can provide a range of benefits. A current quest asks players to find fish located in water or stored in certain containers in Battle Royale games.

Here's a breakdown of each weekly quest in Fortnite's Chapter 5, Season 1 and how to complete them.

Thankfully, this quest can be accomplished fairly quickly as long as you go to one of the many fishing spots located across the island. If you prefer to avoid the water, you also have the option to search for certain locations where you might find the caught fish being stored in coolers, but this will take much more searching.

How To Catch Or Collect Fish From The Water Or A Container

By far, the easiest way to complete this quest is to land atone of the recommended fishing spots on the map, grab a fishing pole, and then collect fish from all the available spots nearby.

You can tell if a spot still has fish in it by the splashing effect. Cast the rod by aiming, pressing the 'Fire' button, and pressing it again once the bait sinks.

You can see how many fish you have left to collect by hovering over the quest in your menu and pressing the 'Track' button.

Thankfully, you don't have to guess about the best fishing spots since they've been markedon your map. You won't be as lucky with the containers, but you're likely to find some at these locations and other places you might look for food.

From west to east, the major fishing spots on Fortnite's island include:

• The beach east of Snooty Steppes and Pleasant Piazza.
• The dock next to the train tracks between Ruined Reels and Pleasant Piazza.
• The dock on the inlet northeast of Rebel Roost.
• The small island directly south of Fencing Fields.
• Loot Lake, southeast of Ruined Reels.
• The dock north of Classy Courts.
• The large lake southeast of Hazy Hillside.
• The large lake between Reckless Railways and Grand Glacier.
• The large lake to the east of Classy Courts.

There will be multiple barrels of fishing poles at each location, ensuring that you and your squad can all participate.

As for containers, fish are typically kept in coolers or ice boxes. You can find these in kitchens, restaurants, camping areas, and anywhere else people might need food.
