Latest Fortnite Character Survey Hints At SpongeBob, GTA, And Five Nights At Freddy's Collaborations

Summary
- Fortnite has shared another crossover survey with players, which hints at collaborations that are being considered for the future.
- The survey mentions some IPs that have popped up a few times, like Grand Theft Auto, One Piece, and Five Nights at Freddy's.
- It also strangely suggests that a SpongeBob SquarePants crossover is on the cards, as Gary the Snail is mentioned as a possible character.
The latest Fortnite character survey has hinted at collaborations with Five Nights at Freddy's, Grand Theft Auto, Disney, and, strangely, SpongeBob SquarePants.
Fortnite is already jam-packed with strange collaborations and crossovers (just look at Peter Griffin from Family Guy getting top billing a few seasons ago), but if there's one thing that we know, it's that it isn't going to slow down on adding weird new characters any time soon. There are a ton of untapped franchises out there waiting to join the fight, but we've already got a good idea of who might be coming.

Posts 3Every couple of months, Epic Games sends out surveys to Fortnite players that ask them how interested they'd be in seeing certain series, franchises, characters, and influencers appear in the game. This doesn't always translate to the crossovers happening, but it does give us a good idea of who is being considered, and the ones that have been mentioned several times do seem pretty set in stone.
Fortnite Could Be Crossing Over With Five Nights At Freddy's, GTA, And SpongeBob
Although these Fortnite character surveys usually get shared by reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX, this round was actually highlighted by Twitter user SamLeakss, who shared images of all the series and characters that were mentioned. Let's start off with the ones that are making a repeat appearance, as there are a quite a few.
One of the most notable series that is mentioned in the survey is Five Nights at Freddy's, which is highlighted in the "video game series" section. Five Nights at Freddy's has been rumoured for a very long time, and even seems to be in the works currently for the first game's tenth anniversary, but it appearing here for the third or fourth time in a row suggests that it's almost definitely happening.
Another series that's being mentioned again is Grand Theft Auto, which has appeared throughout the last year's character surveys. This time around, the survey not only asks if fans want general GTA content, but they're also asked if they'd want to play as Michael from GTA 5. It seems that a GTA crossover is another one that's nearly set in stone.
Several Disney characters and franchise are also notably mentioned in this survey, but this doesn't come as much of a surprise considering Disney and Epic Games were confirmed to be working together earlier this year.
One part of the character survey that really comes as a surprise is the mention of SpongeBob SquarePants, who is referenced with Gary the Snail appearing in the "Pop Culture Characters" section. Fortnite has had some strange crossovers before but this one would be up there with the weirdest, especially since it's so kid-friendly.
Some other big surprises in the survey include South Park, Gravity Falls, Saints Row, The Muppets, and, for the second or third time, One Piece. As always it's worth taking these mentions with a grain of salt, but it does indicate what Epic Games is considering bringing to the Fortnite table in the future.
