Fortnite: Chapter 6, Season 2 - Kickstart Quest Guide

Fortnite: Chapter 6, Season 2 is here, and with it comes a new range of Kickstart Quests for players to complete to earn a little extra XP. These quests are usually used to introduce players to new features that have been added to each season, so they're a great way to learn the basics.

The Lawless season has plenty of new mechanics to get to grips with, and the Kickstart Quests will introduce you to a few. Here's everything you need to know.

How To Complete Every Kickstart Quest

Visit Crime City, Lonewolf Lair, Seaport City, or Masked Meadows.

These are four POI on the map that you need to visit, they do not all need to be visited in the same match for this to complete.

Collect Thermite from Outlaw Vending Machines or from Go Bags.

Outlaw Vending Machines and Go Bags (essentially loot chests) can be found all over the map. Collect Thermite from either way and you will complete this.

Plant Thermite on Bank Vaults, Armored Transports, or the Armored Train.

Once you've found some Thermite, you need to plant it on either a Bank Vault, Armored Transport, or Armored Train.

TIP: The easiest one to do this with are Bank Vaults as there are four in fixed locations on the map, rather than hunting down a moving, more heavily guarded vehicle. It'll also tie into other Kickstart Quests too then.

Damage Vault week spots while opening a vault.

Once you've placed Thermite on a vault, sections of it will glow—indicating a weakspot—and you can damage these. Doing this will complete this quest.

Stage 1 of 2 - Collect a Dill Bit

Dill Bits can be found in Armored Transports, Armored Trains, Bank Vaults, so if you've done the above quests already you should have one. We have a guide on how to get them here.

Stage 2 of 2 - Spend a Dill Bit at a Black Market

Once you have Dill Bits, you need to head to a Black Market. There are three in total and they are marked by the little shop icon on the map. There, you can spend your Dill Bits to buy weapons and complete this quest.

Mine a Gold Vein or swim in Gold River water to gain the effects of Gold Rush.

Gold Veins and Gold River water are found on the western side of the map, and cannot be missed as they are shiny ore veins in the ground, or gold water. Mining or diving in will give you this effect immediately.

Purchase an item from each Black Market.

As we mentioned before, there are three Black Markets in total, and you'll have to visit all three and buy an item from each. We have a guide on where to find all three here.

TIP: You'll need at least three Dill Bits to complete this quest.

Collect the Falcon Eye Sniper of Plasma Burst Laser in three different matches.

Both the Falcon Eye Sniper and Plasma Burst Laser are found in loot chests all over the map, find and pick up either one in three different matches to complete this.

Restore 400 health or shields with Med-Mist Grenades, Gold Splash, or Chug Jugs.

These can be found either in loot chests or on the ground. Simply use them enough to replenish 400 health/shield total. This does not need to be done within a single match.

Eliminate three players with legendary or better weapons.

Legendary or better weapons can be found in loot chests around the island, though you have a better chance of finding one within Bank Vaults, Armored Transports, or Armored Trains. Once you have one, eliminate three players total to complete this. It does not need to be done within a single match.
