Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Will Bring You To Tears, Says Cloud's Actor
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was revealed during this year's Summer Game Fest, much to the excitement of fans who have been engrossed in the remake trilogy for almost a decade.
The characters of Final Fantasy 7 are some of the most iconic and beloved in gaming history. The first two entries in the trilogy have already given us plenty of emotional moments, but, according to Cloud Strife actor Cody Christian, Revelation will be the most sentimental entry of all.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Will Be An Emotional Rollercoaster
Speaking to a fan at KawaCon, Christian teased the finale of the upcoming game, guaranteeing that fans will be in tears by the end of Revelation: "There's so much emotionality, there's so much vulnerability," he says. "There are moments in this that if you haven't cried in the first two yet, I guarantee you'll be sobbing by the third one."
The Final Fantasy series is no stranger to telling bittersweet and tragic stories, and Final Fantasy 7 is the most iconic for a reason. However, as anyone who has played the remakes will know, Square Enix has been changing the previously established narrative while teasing a multiversal angle.
These changes have injected a sense of unpredictability into the plot and initially surprised players who expected to play the same story from start to finish with minimal changes. In other words, we can't predict exactly what will happen in Revelation, especially the ending.

A bunch of DLC and a story expansion pass have appeared on the Epic Games database, suggesting we might be getting that rumored DLC after all.
Posts By Joshua RobertsonDespite the game having only recently been announced, we already know quite a bit about Revelation. The main feature of this entry is the addition of the Highwind, an airship that allows the party to freely explore the open world. Two new party members, Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine, are also joining the party in Revelation.
If a recent Epic Games Store leak is to be believed, we'll also be getting post-launch expansions and a 'story pass' for Revelation, which could mean some of Final Fantasy 7's spin-off stories, such as Dirge of Cerberus and Advent Child, could be in the pipeline.
However, nothing is confirmed until Square Enix comes out and announces it. For now, we know that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is set to release in "Spring 2027" on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
