Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Director Says One Scene Will Make Players "Lose Their Minds"

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's director, Naoki Hamaguchi, has said that there's one scene in the game that's going to make players "lose their minds".
We're just two months away from the long-awaited release of the next part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy - Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. While fans of the first game are likely already getting exciting about reuniting with Cloud and the rest of the party, it seems that they might want to prepare themselves for some pretty shocking moments. And no, we don't just mean the inevitable and irreversible death.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be far more open than Remake, and that makes these stops along the way all the more crucial to get right
PostsGame Informer recently had the chance to go hands-on with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and talk to the game's development team, uncovering a ton of new info like the length of the main campaign, the inclusion of some brand-new areas in the open-world, and even some inspirations from The Witcher 3. As pointed out by Twitter user Genki_JPN, they also found out that players are in for a big shock.
It was also suggested by Tetsuya Nomura that whoever ends up dying in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth won't be coming back in the future, as that's what happened in the original game.
While discussing the in-depth preview on the GI Show, it was revealed that the game's director, Naoki Hamaguchi, has expressed a lot of confidence for Rebirth, saying that it's the "most confident" that he's ever been in game that he's worked on. That's a pretty big statement to make, and hopefully one that can be lived up to.
More interesting than that, however, is Hamaguchi's claim that Rebirth features one scene that will make players "lose their minds". Nothing else was said of the scene in question, but it looks like we're in for some heavy emotional damage in just two months. We're not ready, Final Fantasy fans.
Although it's easy to assume that Hamaguchi is referring to the scene where someone dies at The Forgotten Capital, which we know is where the game is going to end, that particular moment has already been talked about quite a lot by the developers and not kept as a secret, so it's anyone's guess what Hamaguchi is actually referring to with such excitement.
