While there are numerous side quests available, many of them revolve around revisiting previous minigames with added challenges and rewards. One such quest, "Tides of War and Worry," provides a refreshing break from the worries of Sephiroth and Shinra. Instead, it invites you to simply enjoy yourself by riding on the back of a dolphin and bringing joy to some children.

How To Begin Tides Of War And Worry

Once you've progressed to chapter 12 in the game, which is quite far along, you'll have the opportunity to embark on the Tides Of War And Worry quest. You can pick up this quest from the Community Noticeboard located in the Under Junon area.

This quest is relatively straightforward, as it involves meeting Priscilla once again and putting on a Dolphin Show.

How To Complete The Dolphin Show

This quest bears a striking resemblance to the dolphin minigame encountered in Chapter Four, which was pivotal for reaching Upper Junon. However, this time, it's a time trial, and your performance will determine the special reward you receive.

In order to complete the quest, you only need to achieve Rank One.

Before you begin the dolphin minigame, it's essential to turn off the Controller Motion Sensor. Using the analog controls provides better precision and makes it easier to guide the dolphin through the course.

To begin, focus on hitting as many balls as possible on the track to increase your speed. Every ten balls you hit will boost your speed. On the other hand, be wary of obstacles on the track that will slow you down, so aim to avoid them.

You don't have to execute sharp turns frequently, as they can be risky. Reserve them for moments when they are absolutely necessary to navigate through tricky sections of the course.

That's essentially all you need to do. If you finish the track in under two minutes, you'll complete the quest. However, if you aspire to reach higher ranks, replaying the track a few times to memorize it and develop a better sense of it will help you achieve Rank Three's time.

While the quest rewards include EXP and Party EXP, there are additional rewards based on the rank you achieve. For Rank One, you'll receive an elixir, for Rank Two, a Cosmotite Ore, and for Rank Three, the coveted Dark Matter.
