PostsThankfully, there are only eight music notes around the islands for you to find. You can only find them while in your canoe, so get ready to paddle around the choppy waves. Here's everything you need to know to find every last lyric in Farewell North!
Since all the music notes are located on the water, we've catagorized them based on the islands you'll find them closest to!
Sealladh Music Note
You can't miss the first music note, as it's inside the tunnel leading to open waters around Orkney. Once you complete the Sealladh island puzzles, you can take the canoe through the tunnel and unlock the first verse of the song.
Cailey will remember one verse at a time, and each music note will reveal another line in the journal.
Teaghlach Music Notes
As the second main island you'll visit, you'll learn a lot about the past here and what life was like in the Highlands. It only makes sense that nearly half of the music notes can be found in this area.
Here's where you can find them:
- Under the bridge you cross to the old house in Teaghlach, you'll find a tunnel. Follow through the tunnel in the canoe to find a music note hidden here.
- Continue along the canal and stay close to the shoreline. As you paddle beside the rocks, you'll come alongthe shore you race down. Between two rocks just a ways off, you'll find this music note waiting for you.
- Keep going until you're paddling along the rocky shore further down, where you can see the dilapidated houses. Face the bridge in Bron in the distance and pass between the two rocks there to grab another note.
Eday Skerry Music Note
Make your way to Eday Skerry, where you'll have to do a bit of work to reach the music note. While all notes are reached by canoe, this one is blocked off. Tie off at the docks, then head along the left until you see one of the fallen tree windows.
Here, you'll want to look through the tree window to clear the rocks, then pass through and return to your canoe. From there, you can paddle back to the now cleared area and pass through to collect your music note.
Uair Music Notes
From Uair, there are a couple notes to collect. These are well hidden, so keep your eyes open when paddling along the water nearby.
- On the docks by the wind turbine, you'll see ruins out at sea past a bouy. Head toward it and pass through the ruins to collect the music note and learn the next verse.
- Where you leave the docks in Uair, you can sail around the back of the island where the seals are to find this note hidden in the shadows. If you've climbed all three mounts here, it's behind the middle sister. Stay close to the mountains and you'll find it!
Soraidh Note
There's one music note up along the frosty shores of Soraidh. You'll need to head deep into the snowy areas to find the note on the water, but it won't be far off from the docks by the giant wall with the watchtower.
You'll find the note between two smaller islets that you can't dock on. With that, you've collected all the music notes and completed the song, having all the verses now recorded in your journal!
