What Is Pure Cobalt Flux?
Pure Cobalt Flux, also called Stable Cobalt Flux, is an item you can usually obtain through crafting with items you find in a blast zone after launching a nuke into the area.
Pure Cobalt Flux will be listed as "Stable Cobalt Flux" in your menu, and when you receive it from events, so be aware that the terms refer to the same thing.
You need Pure Cobalt Flux or Stable Flux tocraft various powerful items, including Decontamination Showers andPower Armor Jet Packs.

How To Get Pure Cobalt Flux In Fallout 76
There are two major ways to get Stable Cobalt Flux:
- Craft it at a Chemistry Station
- Earn it from Events
You can craft Stable Flux, which acts as Pure Cobalt Flux, from the raw flux you can find from plants inside Blast Zones, the areas a nuke has recently hit.
First, you can collect flux from plants in a Blast Zone regardless of who launched the nuke, so waiting for somebody else to launch a nuke to collect flux can be easier than launching one yourself.
If you want to launch a nuke yourself, then you'll need to complete the following steps first:
1. Join and reach General rank in the Enclave.
2. Gather eight Nuke Codes.
3. Obtain a Nuclear Launch Keycard by defeating a Cargobot.
4. Enter a Missile Silo, which is the location where you can launch a nuclear weapon.
There are multiple types of flux, including:
- Raw Cobalt Flux
- Raw Fluorescent Flux
- Raw Yellowcake Flux
- Raw Violet Flux
- Raw Crimson Flux.
You can use each of these items to craft Pure Cobalt Flux; however, you need ten Raw Flux to craft one Pure Cobalt Flux.
This raw form must be purified into Pure/Stable Flux at a Chemistry Station, or it will deteriorate into Inert Flux.
You can't mix and match the types of Flux, soyou must have ten Raw Violet Flux (for example) if you want to craft a single Pure version.
The plants that can grant you these types of flux include the following.
Blast Zone Plants That Contains Raw Flux
Snaptail
Firecap
Silt Bean
Glowing Fungus
Wild Mutfruit
Mothman Eggs
Starlight Creeper
Mutated Fern
Wild Melon Blossom
Giant Pitcher Plant

Once you have ten of one of the flux types, you must travel to a Chemistry Station and find the "Nuked Flora" tab.
You need the following items to craft Stable Flux, which you can use as Pure Cobalt Flux in crafting recipes:
- Ten raw Flux of one type
- Hardened Mass
- Glowing Mass
- High-Radiation Fluids
You can acquire the other three items by defeating enemies in a blast zone, as they will drop these items at random.
If you'd rather skip the hunting, gathering, and crafting portion, you can head over to Events likeScorched Earth or A Colossal Problem, and you'll receive Stable Cobalt Flux as a reward once you defeat the Scorchbeast Queen or Earle.
