Goons, gangs, and guns riddle the streets of Switchblade City in Fallen Aces. It's a good thing that the detective, Michael Thane, knows his way around a fight. Pair those fighting skills with an endless supply of weapons at your disposal and there's no need to fear a couple of angry guys with fedoras.

While you're learning the controls and combat, a few brawls are tossed your way to test what you've learned. There's no doubt that your first bout won't be a flawless victory, so healing is a must. Luckily, it's as easy as finding a weapon, you just need to thoroughly investigate your surroundings.

How To Heal

You can heal yourself with food, pills, and cigarettes. You can store healing items in your inventory or use them from the moment you find them.

Healing items won't immediately restore your health upon use. Instead, a healing item will give you a healing buff for a limited amount of time that causes your health to regenerate.

Some healing items can restore your Toughness, denoted by the ace icon near your health bar. Toughness decreases the amount of damage you'll take, but like your health, it'll deplete after every hit you take.

Depending on the health item you use, you'll receive additional effects on top of health regeneration. For example, Coffee can grant a speed buff for a limited time.

Where To Find Healing Items

Healing Items are commonly found on top of tables, in kitchens, and in refrigerators. Any type of indoor area is likely to house some kind of healing item. It is much more difficult to find healing items while roaming outside areas.

You can also purchase healing items from vending machines. Cigarettes and sodas are extremely cheap, so it's worth returning to a vending machine if you can't find anything in your environment.
