Fossilized Bone is one of the main resources for getting your farm up and running in Enshrouded. Some plants might need only water and a specific plant, but the higher-tier plants need some grounded Fossilized Bones to craft.

Fossilized Bone's farming location doesn't show up in any of the main or side quests unlike farming Salt or Iron Ores, where they have a specific questline that teaches you where to get them. Not only that, Fossilized Bone's farming spot is oddly scarce and specific too. Here's the best way to get all the Fossilized Bones you need for your base and your farm.

Fossilized Bones Farm Location

Fossilized Bones drop by mining fossilized bone structures found around Enshrouded's world, but there's only one decent spot where you can mine thousands of Fossilized Bones in a single farming run. You can find it close to the west of Nomad Highland's fast travel point if you happen to have the Ancient Spire unlocked, and once you reach the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire, you just have to glide down to the location and you'll reach it in one go.

It is worth noting that the amount of Fossilized Bones you can farm here are only limited to your mining capabilities. If you only have one pickaxe, you'll only get to farm as many as your pickaxe's durability can handle. Bring multiple pickaxes or, if you have a Flame Altar available, you can set up one and place a temporary crafting bench to repair your pickaxe.

When you reach the location, you'll see a towering fossil that you can mine, and it'll give you the Fossilized Bone you need. The Iron Pickaxe would be the best tool to mine these resources, but a Bronze or even Copper Pickaxe can mine it as well, so you can bring multiple pickaxes, especially the old ones you kept away after upgrading your tools.

What Are Fossilized Bones Used For?

Technically, you still have to put all the Fossilized Bone and turn them into Fossilized Bone Dust using the Grindstones, which unlock from the Alchemist NPC, and the recipe for the Fossilized Bone Dust unlocks from the Farmer.

Once you unlock the recipes, place the Fossilized Bone in the Grindstone and select the Fossilized Bone Dust recipe. Fossilized Bones Dusts give unlimited potential for your farm, and here is a list of all the crops you can craft and plant from the Seedbed by using Fossilized Bone Dust:

Fertilised Farm Soils are also one of the main resources needed to plant high-level crops. These are acquired through the Farmer NPC by trading 2x Fossilized Bone Dust, 10x Sand, and 3x Nitrate for 15x Fertilised Farm Soil.

Once you have an ample supply of Fertilised Farm Soil and Fossilized Bone Dust, you can plant all the high-tier crops and start stockpiling resources to cook all the best food you need for your adventures.

Some of the best food buffs require not only good crops, but also some Flour or Flatbread, such as the Open Sandwich which needs 1x Saffron, 1x Grilled Wolf Meat, and 1x Flatbread. If you want these amazing food buffs, you need to set up your Oven and start crafting Flatbread.
