It only takes a bit of gameplay in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes to realize that recruiting various units out in the world is at the center, and you can't expect to progress much without taking part in it. You can get some of these recruits simply by progressing the main story to a certain point.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes - North Grum-County Recruitment Guide

If you want to unlock the race track and card game in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you'll need to get these North Grum-County recruits!

Posts

However, most units require you to find them, talk to them, and sometimes fulfill a certain request. In the Euchrisse region, you might only get some of these recruits after getting to a certain point in the story.

This guide is a work in progress, and we'll consistently add more characters as we recruit them in the game!

Pastole

Location

Twinhorne East

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Love-Trapping Hunter

Pastole is likely the first recruit you'll get as soon as you reach the Euchrisse area. He can be found on the bottom left side of Twinhorne East, quite hard to miss with his green shining design. All you need to do is talk to him for a little while to convince him to join the Alliance.

Once recruited, you can get an upgrade in your castle with 40 Stones to build a hunting cabin, which allows you to automatically get Pelt and Meat with another upgrade.

Mariette

Location

Twinhorne East

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Quiet Bookwarm

Mariette is another character that you'll find in the Twinhorne East area right after reaching Euchrisse, and you can see her sitting on a bench near the water at the bottom, just a little to the right of Pastole.

Upon talking to her, she'll ask you to get her charm if you want to recruit her. This can be done byheading over to Greatwood South and triggering a special battle. Once the charm is acquired, you can recruit Mariette and build a library in your castle.

Huang

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Fishing Drifter

Huang will likely be one of the hardest recruits to get in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and this is entirely because of his request. While you might be able to meet him before, you can only start his recruitment quest by talking to him in Hishahn, found near the Appraisal shop on the right side.

The cheeky fisherman will ask you to get a Wheel-Eye Bream, which is arguably one of the hardest fish to acquire. To find it, you'll have to head over to Seaside Cavern and fish in the spot here until you get it.

Kurtz

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Cool, Competent Cook

Heading over to the capital of Euchrisse now, you'll find Kurtz a little to the right of the forge where you can upgrade your weapons in this area. However, the quest you need to finish if you want to recruit him won't be nearly as easy.

He'll ask you to get the recipe for Grilled Tutuva, with a small hint that you can find it from people who are "All Bark". You can find this by heading back over to the Treefolk Village and talking to a specific NPC.

Carrie

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Teleporter Chaos Girl

Carrie is the greatest recruit you can get for the quality of life in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. You can first find her while taking a certain vertical path in Hishahn, but she'll disappear after a small dialogue. You have to find her at two more places in the city to be able to recruit her.

Once recruited, Carrie will unlock the much-awaited fast travel ability that lets you instantly get to any area as long as you aren't inside a dungeon. She's also a necessary recruit if you want to continue the story during the Hishahn Old Town part.

Perrielle And Janquis

Location

Hishahn Inn

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Charismatic Noble

Perrielle a.k.a. Perry is one of the first few characters you'll meet in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, being right after you meet Lian, Mio, and Garr. However, you'll have to wait quite some time if you want to get the noble of Grum in your party.

She automatically joins your party once you have the initial dialogue with her in Hishahn Inn. Of course, since Janquis is loyal to Perrielle, he also joins your party right after with the Loyal Elderly Steward title.

Riufan

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Elder Spear-Wielder

Riufan can be found by heading a bit left from the Hishahn Inn and then taking a small bridge leading upward. He'll be continuously drinking and will likely refuse to talk to you since your strength would be too low at this point in the game.

If you want to recruit this spear-wielder, you'll have to increase Nowa's strength to a certain point and then duel with him. After you win the duel, he'll automatically join the party.

Nell

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

This Bag Is Everything

Another phenomenal recruit for the quality of life in the game, Nell can be found on the top left side of Hishahn. He'll be hiding behind a stall in this area, and can be recruited simply after a small dialogue.

By this point in the game, you'll likely have already run into some inventory problems since you only get 30 slots. Thankfully, Nell is your solution to this as he permanently increases your inventory by certain upgrades in the castle or temporarily by putting him on your team as support.

Code L

Location

Daphan Village

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Rune-Lens Maniac

On to the third main civilization in Euchrisse, Daphan Village is also home to various recruits from the very start. As soon as you enter this area, you can find Code L inside the Rune Shop, and he'll ask you to get a Rune Of Currents for him.

The easiest way to get your hands on this item at this point in the game is by recruiting Carrie and heading inside Hishahn Old Town. You'll have a boss fight in this area that drops the Rune, which you can then use to recruit Code L. He can open a Rune Shop in your castle and be used as support on your team.

Hakugin

Location

Daphan Village

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Seasoned Shinobi

To the bottom right of Daphan Village, you'll find a seasoned fighter called Hakugin, who'll ask for a specific person from the East Reach. If you've been paying attention to the dialogue, you might already know that Mio is one of the people from this area.

All you have to do is head over to a nearby Inn, put Mio in your party, and talk to Hakugin again. This will trigger a special series of dialogue, which will then let you recruit this phenomenal fighter.

Lam

Location

Daphan Village

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse

Title

Eternal Martial Artist

If you've gone through Daphan Village even once after reaching Euchrisse, you've likely already met a beautiful young lady dressed in red who wouldn't talk to you. However, this lady might not be quite as young as she appears, and it'll take you quite a while to recruit her.

You'll first have to recruit Riufan and talk to him in Hero's Den. He'll reminisce about his friend, and you can then put in in your party and head over to Daphan Village. Talk to the same lady a couple times and she'll join your party.

B'Baba

Location

Daphan Village

Requirement

Reach Euchrisse, castle level two

Title

All-Seeing Mystic

You can find B'baba as soon as you reach Euchrisse in a small shop to the left of Daphan Village. However, her name won't be shown initially since you need to trigger a specific quest line to talk to her. This can be done by upgrading your castle to level two and finding Faye to the left on the outside.

In this cutscene, one of the soldiers will mention B'baba, after which you'll be able to head back to this place and recruit her. You can open her own divination area in the castle once she's recruited.

Melridge, Seign, Pohl, Valentin, And Hildi

The entire cast mentioned above are arguably some of the coolest characters you'll meet in the story of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Thankfully, the game gives you all of them for free once you win the battle of Hishahn.

However, Seign's party goes on a separate mission right after this, so you might not be able to use them right away.

Enoe

Location

Daphan Village

Requirement

Win the battle of Hishahn

Title

Diligent Guild Member

You can find Enoe to the left as soon as you enter Daphan Village after the war of Hishahn, and it'll be quite clear what he wants from the get-go. He'll ask you if you know about a person named Gocteau setting up a guild.

You might've already noticed that you automatically recruit Gocteau after getting the castle, but to recruit Enoe, you have to unlock a specific upgrade in the base-building system to let him establish a guild. Once you have the upgrade, you can go back to Enoe and recruit him.

Jorhan

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Win the battle of Hishahn

Title

Conceited Lord

Jorhan can be one of the difficult characters to recruit due to his request depending on how late into the game you are. When you first meet him, Perrielle will spawn by your side during the conversation and hint that you can likely get something that he would like in the Eastern Desert.

Sure enough, once you head over to this desert, you'll get an item called an Unknown Antique. You have to get one of these appraised into a Yellow Rose Censer and then give it to Jorhan. Items like Monster Attract Charm and Lucky Charm can make this process a lot easier.

Syd

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Win the battle of Hishahn

Title

Art Is Explosive

Syd will appear right beside the forge and behind where you initially found Kurtz once you're done with the war of Hishahn, and his outfit makes him quite hard to miss. However, his request will be quite vague and impossible to complete at this point in time.

While he asks for a workshop, all you need to do if you want to recruit him is progress the story a bit. In our experience, he was available for recruiting once you unlocked the ability to get the Dire Beastbone material. He'll ask you to get some Mystic Lumber, Iron Ore, and as mentioned, Dire Beastbone.

Aire

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

Win the battle of Hishahn

Title

Energetic Trainer

Aire can be found on the bottom-left corner of Hishahn once the main battle is over, and she'll have a simple request. If you want to win over this adrenaline-filled character, you'll have to defeat her in a race.

However, in our testing, this race doesn't seem to be related to your normal running speed since it's possible to win the race even without Dash Boots or lose even with them. The chances of winning this race seem to be tied to the actual SPD stat on Nowa.

Dalton

Location

Twinhorne East

Requirement

Reach Norristar

Title

Happy Mercenary Leader

Dalton is an easy recruit who'll be available as soon as you reach Norristar during the main story. To acquire him, you'll head back over to the Twinhorne East port town and find him standing near the inn, easy to mistake for an NPC.

You simply have to talk to him to get him in your party. He'll mention that he knows Sabine and then agree to join your cause.

Aoi

Location

Twinhorne East

Requirement

After the battle of Yarnaan

Title

East Reach Archer

As you progress through the main story, you'll have a battle in Yarnaan where you'll essentially have to retreat back to Norristar due to a lack of reinforcements. Once this battle ends, Aoi will appear in the Twinhorne East town roughly at the southeast edge.

If you want to recruit her, you'll have to get Iugo in your party before talking to her. After a small dialogue, you have to win a duel between Aoi and Iugo to complete the recruiting process. She's quite a tough opponent, so it's highly recommended to upgrade Iugo if you want to win the battle.

Momo

Location

Hishahn

Requirement

After the battle of Yarnaan

Title

Cuteness Above All

Have you been wondering how to remove that seal in the Seaside Cavern ever since you visited it for the first time? Well, you can finally do that after the battle of Yarnaan, but you'll first have to head to the southeast vertical bridge of Hishahn and find the character.

After the first conversation, you'll head over to the Cavern and fight a difficult boss within the seal. Once defeated, Momo will happily join your party after clearing a small confusion.
