EA Sports College Football 25: Stadium Pulse, Explained

There's nothing quite like the environment of college football. You have bands blasting fight songs, cheerleaders performing routines, and fans screaming their lungs out. Stadiums feel more alive than their NFL counterparts, which creates a great community atmosphere for spectators, but can make it difficult for the players on the field to do their job.

Football is a physically taxing sport, and some of your players will exit games worse for wear.
PostsIn college, you play against the crowd almost as much as you play against the opposing team. The developers of College Football 25 wanted to make sure the realities of Saturday contests were represented in their game, so they included a mechanic called Stadium Pulse to demonstrate just how harrowing it can be to play on certain fields.
What Is Stadium Pulse?
Stadium Pulse is a home-field advantage mechanic. While playing offense in an opponent's stadium, a noise meter will show up in the top right-hand corner and your screen will start to shake. As you reach crucial moments in a game, like entering the red zone or an important third down, the crowd will get even louder, increasing the screen shake and serving as a greater distraction.
The noise won't just affect you, it can also rattle your players. In order to simulate the havoc crowd noise can wreak on an offense, College Football 25 has a variety of tricks it can play on you as your team lines up.
Your play art can be completely messed up, drawn with squiggly lines pointing all over the place. Thebuttons over receivers' heads can disappear mid-play, and attempting to audible at the line of scrimmage may outright fail.
How To Counter Stadium Pulse
There's no way to easily quiet the crowd during a road game. However, not all players are created equal, and a select few have abilities that can negate the negative status effects normally placed on them by Stadium Pulse. Look for your players to have these abilities when starting a game:
Ability Name
Description
Road Dog
Increases a player's composure on the road.
Winning Time
Increases a player's composure when losing with two minutes on the clock.
Headstrong
Protects a player from Stadium Pulse and allows for hot routes/audibles to function normally.
These abilities prevent you from having to deal with pre-snap ridiculousness like being shown the wrong play art, and will help you navigate the game as you normally would. Start scoring points and you'll deflate the crowd, helping you cruise to an easy victory.
