Dragon's Dogma 2: Flickering Shadows Quest Walkthrough

Dragon's Dogma 2 features two major regions: Vermund and Battahl. Both of these regions are ripe for exploration, filled with enemies to battle, locations to discover, characters to meet and of course quests to complete. You'll spend a significant amount of time in Vermund, exploring and completing quests before progressing to Battahl.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Mercy Among Thieves Quest Walkthrough

Betrayal is a hard lesson to learn in this Dragon's Dogma 2 side quest.

As part of the main story, you'll reach Battahl during the Nation of the Lambent Flame quest. Upon arriving at the entrance of Bakbattahl, you'll be treated to a short cutscene where the Pathfinder speaks to you, urging you to seek out Ambrosius which will trigger the Flickering Shadows quest.

Where To Find Ambrosius

Ambrosius can be found on the coastline east of Bakbattahl. Simply head northeast of the city, and eventually, you'll come across some people gathered around near the beach. Approach the guy next to the broken carriage, and that's Ambrosius.

He'll ask you to find some blue crystals for him, conveniently located right in front of the shore.

Be careful of the Griffin in the area, as it may attack you.

You only need one small blue crystal shard, so once you've obtained it, head back to Ambrosius and interact with him to give him the one you collected.

However, he won't be satisfied with just a small share and will ask you to gather information about the larger ones. This will update the quest and give you two objectives on the map.

Complete The Quest

For the first objective on the map, you'll find it very close, leading you to a nearby cave. Head inside, and there you'll encounter the Dragonforged. Interact with him, select the option to talk, and then choose "Tell me of the godsway."

As for the second location, west of your current position, head there, and you'll arrive at the Reverent Shrine. Speak with the oracle, Luz, and select the "Tell me the godsway's secret" option.

It's worth noting that Luz is the same NPC who can unlock the Trickster vocation, so be sure to unlock it while you're there if you haven't already.

After speaking to both characters, your next objective will take you to Harve Village. Seek out the character standing near the Portcrystal to the very south of the map, next to a campfire.

Speak with him, and after the cutscene, the quest will be completed. As for your rewards, you'll receive 3,200XP and 25,000G.
