The range of vocations you can try out in Dragon's Dogma 2 can be a little overwhelming at times. They each have a bunch of special skills to unlock and use, giving them unique identities and playstyles. Thieves are agile; quick and dangerous, they can get into the thick of it and evade attacks better than all other vocations.

As with every other vocation, obtaining the ultimate Thief skill requires some legwork, invariably involving obtaining a 'maister's approval. Fortunately, the Thief-Maister's approval is rather easy to get, and you can do so pretty much as soon as you're out of Melve.

How To Obtain The Thief-Maister's Approval And Get The Ultimate Thief Skill

The Thief-Maister is a man by the name of Flaude, a resident of a village with no name - the Nameless Village. Getting his approval is quite simple: all you need to do is reach the Nameless Village, walk up to Flaude's mansion, and then talk to him. The challenge is actually reaching the Nameless Village itself.

To reach the Nameless Village, take the following directions:

  1. Start from Vernworth, the capital. Take the northern exit and follow the main road until you reach a bridge.
  2. Cross the bridge and turn right. Follow the northeastern road until you reach another bridge close by.
  3. Cross the second bridge. Shortly after, take the first left and follow this path around the mountain.
  4. Ignore the road that leads to the north and keep following the main road until you hit another bridge. Cross this bridge.
  5. Follow this path until you reach a valley blocked by boulders. Backtrack and head around the mountains to the right; this will lead you right to the Nameless Village.

Flaude's house is found at the top of the village, up the stairs to the north.

After talking to Flaude, you'll get the scroll for Legend's Opus - you do not need to have unlocked the Thief vocation to get this, but you will need to have unlocked it to be able to use it and learn the skill.
