Goku Is Getting A Big New Transformation In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's Final DLC
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC has finally been given a release date of July 8, and it's also introducing what could be Goku's most powerful form to date.
Even though the long-awaited Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has taken up the attention of pretty much every Dragon Ball fan out there, that doesn't mean Xenoverse 2 is packing it in just yet. For some time now, the game has been moving forward with its Future Saga expansions, which focus on powerful new Ultra Supervillain forms for specific characters.
That saga is finally coming to an end in the very near future and capping off nearly a decade of post-launch support for Xenoverse 2 in the process. We've known that the final chapter would be coming "this summer", but a recently released launch trailer has confirmed the final date and given us a glimpse at Goku's most powerful form.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's Final DLC Gives Goku One More Form
I'm Calling It Here, It's Ultra Superhero
The new trailer for Xenoverse 2's Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC not only confirms once and for all that it's coming next week on July 8, but also gives a glimpse of what to expect from it. Fu appears to have finally obtained the power he's been searching for with Ultra Supervillain, and might even be erasing the timeline as we know it in the process.
Luckily, it looks like he's going to have to go up against a brand-new transformation for Goku, which is a central part of the new trailer and one of the two new playable characters of the DLC. The form, which uses Mastered Ultra Instinct, is unnamed, but it's clearly meant to be a more heroic variant of Ultra Supervillain that's specific to Goku, as it has the same crystallised design but with a greenish blue light.
Knowing Dragon Ball, I'm betting that this new form will be called Ultra Superhero. Here's hoping it carries over to Xenoverse 3, since it's a very cool look for Goku.
While it's a bit of a shame that Goku's new form is really just a variant of Ultra Instinct, it is cool to see something original like this to cap off Xenoverse 2 after so long. We don't get to see any of its moves in the trailer, but I'm betting that the devs have gone all out in making it incredibly powerful. We'll find out for sure next week.
