- Iconic moves from these characters will be part of their movesets when the game launches, which is rumoured to be in October.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero news is coming out faster than most of us can keep up with. Over the past month alone, we learned that Fusion fighters, like Gogeta and Gotenks, will indeed be part of the game's base roster, that there seemingly won't be any blood in the game and that a 5v5 mode will also be playable. A potential October release date, and Goku's voice actor sharing the sheer number of hours (80 in case you're wondering) he's put into voice work have also made the rounds.
Now, via a Saikyō Jump scan, we've learned what special moves some of the game's roster will have. Now, stop us if you've heard this before, but "Full Power Energy Wave" will be returning in the spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series. No, we're not joking.

PostsHere are the details of the scan, courtesy of DBSparkingZero on Twitter:
Based off the scan, Vegito will have the "God Final Kamehama," which will be part of his Super Saiyan Blue form. The picture on the scan is small, though it looks strikingly similar to the one he pulled out against Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super.
Kefla will be rocking the "Hexa Cannonball," while Zamasu will have "Absolute Lightning" in his arsenal, per the scan. Zamasu's special should play out a lot similar to how it does in FighterZ, and it does have some similarities in appearance.
Finally, Gogeta will have "Meteor Explosion," and Gotenks will have the infamous "Full Power Energy Wave." That "Meteor Explosion" was famously used in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie, and it looks like this:
Infamously, on the other hand, "Full Power Energy Wave" was a catch-all move given to several characters throughout the Budokai Tenkaichi series. We wish we were kidding. Longtime fans of the series will know that the move essentially padded out various character's movesets that otherwise didn't have a lot to go off of, like Raditz.
There's actually a compilation video of every character's "Full Power Energy Wave," and that's just from the first Budokai Tenkaichi game. Check it out:
Now, before we start a protest, it appears that "Full Power Energy Wave" will be Gotenks' base form special move. It seems likely that the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 3 versions of Gotenks will have the special moves that everyone is familiar with, like Galactic Donut.
Of course, we'll have to wait and see if that is the case. Though, for the time being, it would appear that Sparking Zero is staying true to the anime and source material by featuring special moves that are specific to the character. And, at the very least, we have confirmation that one of the franchise's most infamous and iconic moves will be back.
