Summary
- Dragon Ball GT has finally been confirmed for Sparking! Zero's launch roster, marking a massive addition to the upcoming anime fighting game.
- But as cool as seeing Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Omega Shenron was, fans were sad at the exclusion of Super 17.
- The fusion between Android 17 and Hell Fighter 17 is a major antagonist and was noticeably absent from the reveal trailer, leading to speculation about potential DLC, as well as multiple memes.
Dragon Ball GT has finally beat the DLC rumors, as the non-canon sequel series to Dragon Ball Z has officially been confirmed for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
Via a new trailer from Bandai Namco, aptly titled "GT Character Trailer," the likes of Kid Goku (GT), Baby Vegeta, Pan and Omega Shenron, among other characters have all been revealed. Oh, and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta!
Yet, while Dragon Ball fans across the globe are celebrating the presence of GT in the upcoming spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, a portion is wondering where the heck Super 17 is.
The fusion of Android 17 and Hell Fighter 17 is the key antagonist of his own arc, and would be a crucial addition to the game's loaded roster, but wasn't part of Thursday's trailer, leaving fans puzzled.

Taking to multiple social media platforms, including Twitter and Reddit, fans lamented the lack of Super 17. "Honestly, the only character I'm sad wasn't in the trailer. Really wanted to do a Super 17 vs 17 (Super) fight," one Redditor commented.
Another user theorized that the remaining GT characters that weren't revealed would be a DLC add-on. That pack would theoretically include GT versions of Trunks and Goten, as well as the other Shenron forms. Currently, Dragon Ball Daima and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero are confirmed for DLC.
On Twitter, things were definitely a lot more lighthearted. The extremely popular "Nobody can beat me when I'm Super 17" meme was shared endlessly, helping add a little bit of a laugh to the disappointment.
Only time will tell if Super 17 makes it into the base game, as there certainly will be a few more trailers ahead of the game's October launch. Jokes and sadness aside, it's still really neat to see GT finally recognized in another Dragon Ball game. Here's hoping Mustache Vegeta is an alternate costume.
