Summary

  • Dragon Ball fans have wanted Vegeta to go Super Saiyan 3 for a long time, and Daima finally delivered.
  • A dedicated modder has brought that unique version of Super Saiyan 3 into Sparking Zero with a mod.
  • Better yet, the mod works with Vegeta's End of Z form, making it unique from the inevitable Daima variant we'll get as DLC.

A talented modder has brought Vegeta's version of Super Saiyan 3 from Dragon Ball Daima into Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, complete with his weirdly upwards-pointing hair.

From power levels to what the heck happened to Launch, the Dragon Ball community has had a ton of big discussion points since the series began nearly 40 years ago. One of the biggest that comes to mind, though, is regarding Vegeta and whether he can follow Goku's lead and transform into Super Saiyan 3.

There have been a lot of non-canon interpretations of this like in Raging Blast and Dragon Ball Heroes, but it finally became a reality last month in Dragon Ball Daima. One of the biggest things to happen in the show so far was when Vegeta finally reached SSJ3, and the long-awaited transformation is bound to become a staple of Dragon Ball games going forward.

Sparking Zero Mod Gives End Of Z Vegeta His Super Saiyan 3 Form From Daima

Mod: 73ven

It's pretty obvious that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is going to include Vegeta's Super Saiyan 3 transformation as part of his Daima kit, but why wait until then? Thanks to GameBanana modder 73ven, there's now a mod for Sparking Zero that gives Vegeta the transformation he's been waiting for, and in his adult form no less.

The Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta mod works with Vegeta's End of Z variant and gives him access to the form alongside his usual SSJ and SSJ2. Not only does this unique Vegeta model work with all of his costumes, but it also has a unique moveset comprised of some of his best abilities, like Final Galick Cannon and All-Encompassing Power.

It would have been easy to just give Vegeta his Super Saiyan 2 abilities, but 73ven really went the extra mile in making him feel distinct.

While there have already been a lot of mods that give Vegeta his non-canon SSJ3 form just like he had in Raging Blast, 73ven's is unique in the fact that it's clearly based on his appearance from Dragon Ball Daima. Instead of his hair going all the way down like Goku when he's in the iconic form, it instead sticks up just like Vegeta's hair would.

We're bound to see Vegeta (Mini) with the form at some point in Sparking Zero's lifetime, but it's unlikely to be added to the game for his adult self. That makes this a particularly interesting mod that's worth downloading even if we eventually see an official version from Spike Chunsoft.
