"I'm Starting To Feel No One Even Playtested It"
Over the last few hours, a new thread over on the Sparking Zero Subreddit has begun to gain major traction, gaining over 500 upvotes and 750 comments.
The thread lists a myriad of complaints about the game, including:
- Unblockable ultimates (Teen Gohan, Jiren Beerus)
- Yajriobi's Senzu Stall Time Out Win
- Android 19 and Gero spamming armor and grabs
- Vanishing Battles "overstaying their welcome"
- Afterimage strike
Dozens of players echoed these issues in the comments, with one A Ranker declaring that "There's no fun to be had playing against the same characters and same playstyle. I'm just playing casual matches and having fun with people who actually play other characters than Gogeta and Vegito." The issues were blamed on the game's story sections, which trains players to "do nothing but sparking-knockback-ult."
Sparking Zero's online modes were called "a mess" and "so boring", with "a lot of glaring issues". One player shared they are worrying, "It’s going to get worse and worse. Honestly, those strategies are so good, it’s dumb to use anything else."
The thread is an interesting read, and highlights that Bandai Namco has a lot of work ahead if it plans to maintain a healthy player base in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero long-term.
