Dragon Age Fans Want The Veilguard's Character Creator To Release Early

Summary
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard's character creator is so in-depth that some fans are pre-ordering the game just on the chance that it gets released early.
- They're calling on BioWare to do just that, which it expressed interest in last month during a preview event.
- But if it doesn't have plans now, it's almost certainly too late. Regardless, the enthusiasm is palpable.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard has an incredibly in-depth character creator, with a fully customisable body appearance, height slider, melanin level, different lighting to avoid repeating Inquisition, and all the minute details you'd otherwise expect.
Our own Editor-in-Chief Stacey Henley had a hands-on session with the game earlier this year and spent a good chunk of it lost in the character creator.
It should come as no surprise then that fans are incredibly excited to fine-tune their Rooks in a way we've never been able to across Dragon Age history. They're so excited that they're calling on BioWare to release the character creator early, much like InZoi, Saint's Row, and Dragon's Dogma 2 did.
"If there are any devs reading this, please give us [the] CC early," one user posted on the subreddit. "I've already spent hours watching character creation videos on YouTube and have two Rooks somewhat designed in my head but I NEED THAT CC EARLY. Am I dreaming or is there a possibility we could get it earlier?"
BioWare Did Express Interest In Releasing The Character Creator Early Last Month
Last month, Outside Xbox asked co-director Corinne Busche at a preview event whether BioWare had considered releasing the character creator early, to which she explained, "It's a much requested feature; we're TBD on that but it would be pretty stinking cool."
The Veilguard launches later this month on Halloween, so there's a very short window for the character creator to release if plans are indeed in motion, but some fans have pre-ordered the game just in case.
I can't wait to dig into all the cursed creations people make — it wouldn't be an RPG without a handful of Shreks and Handsome Squidwards, after all. But if fans get their way, maybe we'll get to see these nightmares ahead of launch. I already know I'll be working tirelessly to recreate Geralt.
Maybe it'll launch early, maybe it won't, one thing is clear — Dragon Age is still the king of character creators.
