Moana has been represented well in Disney's Lorcana by receiving cards in the majority of sets. This Princess of Motunui is not just powerful in the movie of the same name, but she and her allies (and antagonists) pose a real threat in the competitive card game.

Of all of the Floodborn cards in Disney Lorcana's Into The Inklands, who claims the final victory?
PostsBut with only so much room in your deck, and only two colors it can consist of, what Moana cards should you include? It can be an extremely difficult question to answer. But you don't have to figure it out on your own. You can let this list guide you as you voyage into some Lorcana matches.
This list ranks Moana cards from all launched sets in Lorcana based on their power and their utility.
10 Te Kā, Heartless
Before The Heart Is Returned
This Steel card from the first Lorcana set can pack a punch while gaining you lore. Te Kā costs six ink to play and has five strength and willpower. In the mid-game, this can be enough to eliminate a lot of threats. And you'll probably want to do just that.
Her ability, called Seek The Heart, will grant you two lore anytime Te Kā successfully challenges and removes a character from the board. She can also quest for two lore. This means that regardless of how you play her, you can be gaining lore two at a time.
9 Coconut Basket
You'll Thank Maui For These Coconuts
Sapphire is known for its good Items. You don't need to craft a deck that purely focuses on Items though to make use of the good, old Coconut Basket. So, you may want to consider using it.
Especially because of Consider The Coconut. This ability activates when you play a character. You can heal two damage for a chosen character. And nothing is stopping you from playing multiple of these. It's made all the easier with its ink cost of two.
8 Heihei, Persistent Presence
He Just Keeps Coming Back
Similar to how Heihei behaves in the movie, this Heihei just keeps finding his way back home. But instead of to Moana's boat, it will be to you. That's all thanks to his ability He's Back! Whenever he would normally be banished in a challenge, he instead is returned to your hand.

You can't go wrong with adding these strong sorcerers and villains into your deck.
PostsThis ensures that you are never completely without a character (unless your hand is discarded). You can then decide, do you want to send him to the inkwell? Or play him again? He does, after all, have a strength of two so he can be useful in applying just a bit more damage to a character that is already hurting.
7 Gramma Tala, Spirit Of The Ocean
Leaving Ink In Her Wake
This Gramma Tala is a shift character. Her usual cost is seven, but she can instead be brought into the game once you have five ink to use. Her willpower is fantastic, sitting at an eight, and to make the best use out of this card, you'll want to keep her on the board.
That's because of her ability, Do You Know Who You Are? Anytime you put a card into your inkwell, you will automatically gain one lore. She pairs so well with Items and Actions that cause that to happen, including The Heart Of Te Fiti. Not to mention during each turn you can naturally put one card into your inkwell.
6 Last Ditch Effort
He Has One More Trick Up His Sleeve
Items aren't the only cards that can make a big difference in a match. Last Ditch Effort is an example of a powerful Action that can turn the tides in your favor.
Characters can only be challenged when they are exerted. This cost three card allows you to exert an opposing character. But on top of that, you can then give one of your characters Challenger +2, which means your character gains two strength whenever they challenge during your current turn. There are so many cards that can benefit from this, and it opens the door for you to take out some high willpower enemies.
5 Moana, Of Motunui
You WIll Board Her Boat
Her strength of one may be off-putting, but her willpower of six helps Moana when it comes to the numbers part of Lorcana. She also quests for three lore, which can quickly add up. But like with many of the cards in Lorcana, it's about what their ability can do for you.

These Princesses pack a punch in Disney Lorcana.
PostsWe Can Fix It allows you to ready any Princess cards you have in play whenever Moana quests. So, in addition to getting three lore naturally, you can save all of your Princesses after you quest with them. You can't quest a second time, but this protects them from being challenged.
4 Maui's Fish Hook
Property Of Maui, And You
Back to items, Maui's Fish Hook belongs to the Ruby family of cards instead of the Sapphire one. It is also fairly unique as it not only has two abilities, but can also benefit from having any of the characters named Maui on the field.
If Maui is on the field, you won't have to pay whenever you exert this item. If you don't, then you pay two ink to activate Shapeshift. You can then choose which benefit you'd like. Either a character of yours becomes Evasive until your next turn, or you can give a character three strength for the duration of your turn. There is power in both of these as one can protect your cards while the other can help you remove your opponent's cards through challenges.
3 Gramma Tala, Storyteller
She Will Always Be With You
Gramma Tala, Storyteller is one of those cards you won't regret keeping with you. She forces your opponent to make some difficult decisions in the early game. Do they attack and get her off the field? Or do they leave her be?
It's because of her ability I Will Be With You. If Gramma Tala is banished, you get to put this card into your inkwell, facedown and exerted when she's first moved there. But, if they leave her alone so that you don't get an ink advantage, you can quest with her every turn while she remains in play. Either way, she can help you take the lead.
2 Tamatoa, So Shiny!
He Loves A Good Item
A Sapphire card that makes use of Item cards? It's more likely than you think, thanks to Tamatoa. He costs eight ink to play and has a healthy amount of strength and willpower, five and eight respectively.
But it's the abilities that make this crab shine. What Have We Here? allows you to return a discarded item to your hand when you play Tamatoa and anytime he quests after that. He will also gain one lore for every item you have in play thanks to his ability, Glam. So, if you want to utilize a lot of items in your matches, you might just want to bring Tamatoa along for the ride.
1 Maui, Hero To All
The Card Title Says It All
Maui would have it no other way, being at the top of the list is just where he belongs. Or at least he would think so. This Maui only costs five ink to play and has a strength of six. And you're going to be using his strength a lot.
Maui doesn't have an ability that is unique to him, but he has both Rush and Reckless. Rush allows you to challenge as soon as you play Maui, instead of needing to wait for him to dry. That means you can get the jump on another player who thought a character of their was safe for a turn. Then, with Reckless, Maui becomes a challenging machine, always needing to fight if he can.
