Disney Dreamlight Valley, a relaxing life and farming simulator game, is in early access and many are waiting for more word on a date when the game will become free-to-play. In order to play the game in early access, you need to purchase one of the founder's packs on your gaming platform of choice.

The game is currently available on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and PC. While many people are fine with waiting for the game to become free-to-play, the only issue is that the founder's pack rewards will not be obtainable once that happens, which means you'll be missing out on some exclusive items and deals.

Founder's Packs In Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are three founder's packs available for Disney Dreamlight Valley, but it's important to note that they are based on a tier system.

This means thatthe second-tiered Deluxe edition also gives you everything in the first-tier Standard edition as well.The third-tier Ultimate edition gives you everything in the Standard and Deluxe editions, along with rewards exclusive to the Ultimate edition.

The moonstones, a type of in-game currency, are an exception and do not stack together from all the packs. Each pack has its own set value of moonstones, and that's all you will receive based on the founder's pack you choose.Moonstones can be purchased separately from the in-game shop if you want more.

You don't have to worry about trying to buy all three just to get the items you want. You only need to purchase one pack unless you want to play during early access ondifferent gaming platforms.

Cross-save has been confirmed on the Disney Dreamlight Valley website, except for PlayStation consoles, which don't allow you to have any type of cross-progression saving. Cross-save capabilities for other platforms won't take effect until the game is free to play.

Are The Founder's Packs Worth The Price?

You've probably seen at least a few pictures or some gameplay from Disney Dreamlight Valley. If cozy life simulator farming games are not your style, then getting a founder's pack may not be a priority for you.

If you are more of a collector, you may want to take a serious look at what you'll get out of these founder's packs, especially since you won't be able to get those items later. Digital products can be tricky to appraise in terms of value, especially if they don't show up in a digital store at any point.

It's also a subjective matter, since not everyone values the same digital products the same way. One person might love collecting pets, while another loves fashion and collects every outfit.

Luckily, we don't need to consider the value of all the digital items to understand the value of these founder's packs, and instead,we can look at the in-game currency values. There is a direct money equivalent to obtain moonstones, which are used to purchase digital items from the in-game shop or to gain access to an event's reward content.

An event comes with something called a "Star Path", and purchasing the Star Path with moonstones allows you to collect all possible rewards if you complete enough tasks. It's reminiscent of a battle pass in other games, and the pricing to unlock it is also similar.

The cost to obtain the Star Path for events is 2,500 moonstones. To purchase that many moonstones, you would spend $9.99.

If you plan to participate in Star Paths and want to collect all the rewards, the moonstones you receive will allow you to take advantage of quite a few Star Paths. The Ultimate edition founder's pack is the best value, since buying that many Star Paths with moonstones from the shop would cost just shy of $80.

It's not a lot of savings, but you're definitely coming out ahead with that pack. None of those costs take into consideration the digital rewards you receive, as well as the value of having early access to the game.

If you enjoy cozy games, farming simulator games, Disney characters, or games with collecting mechanics, any of these bundles will be worth the investment. You'll be able to take advantage of Star Paths if you save those moonstones or purchase some nice digital products in the store.
