The original Dino Crisis is coming to PlayStation 5 via the Classics Catalogue some time "soon".
That means it will be available with the PS Plus Premium subscription tier, which is $17.99 per month or $159.99 per year.
While not a remaster or remake, it's the first time that Dino Crisis has been made playable on modern hardware since the PSP, a now 15-year-old port. The best way to play it right now is emulation, unless you have an old Dreamcast or PS1 lying around.
Interestingly, Dino Crisis was mentioned as part of the PS Plus line up way back in July 2022, but nothing came of it as it was completely scrubbed from promotional banners. However, after a long two years wondering if that was just a mistake or a sign of things to come, we have concrete confirmation thanks to tonight's State of Play.
Capcom Has Also Been Asking Fans About A Dino Crisis Remake... Again
This news comes hot off the tails of a new Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster survey which asked fans what other games they'd like to see remade. The list of options included icons like Okami and Devil May Cry, as well as cult classics like Onimusha and Darkstalkers, but the one that really drew people's attention was Dino Crisis.

Please give us a reboot, remaster, or just about anything. We're real hungry.
PostsCapcom has asked in surveys before if fans would like to see a Dino Crisis remake, and has even mentioned that it's one of the most requested series to bring back. That doesn't necessarily mean it's guaranteed to happen, however, so take these details with a grain of salt.
Nonetheless, PlayStation and Capcom are making it easier than ever to play the original game, so an entirely new audience can finally try this classic survival horror out, developed by none other than Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. Maybe it's a sign of things to come, but if not, Dino Crisis is finally playable on modern hardware.
